This diploma thesis was devoted to the topic: Support of independent living as a form of field social work. I focused on the typology of disability, Company DUHA, z.ú. and types of benefits for people with disabilities. I dealt with the differences between independent housing support and sheltered housing and social services for people with disabilities. The main aim of my diploma thesis was to find out, if the clients are satisfied with the service of independent housing support and what are the most benefial aspects of this service. Another goal was to find out how satisfied are the family members of clients using the independent housing support service with this social service. To find out he major goal of the thesis I used the technique of structured interview, which included 8 questions. The thesis is divided into 7 chapters. I consider chapter seven to be the most important, in where I present the results of the survey. It is evident that clients who use the Company DUHA, z.ú and their family members are satisfied with the service.
An evaluation of work efficiency in Portus, an organisation for people with mental disabilities

This diploma thesis is to acquaint with people with intellectual disability. Basicaly it deals with terminology associated with intelectual disability, definitions, types of intellectual disability, symptoms and causes. One of the chapters is devoted to the principles of communication of people with mental disabilities and auxiliary communication techniques. Next it focuses on Portus organization, which has been working with this target group for over 20 years. It provides several social services, about which we gathered basic information and based them on the law on social services. The last chapter in the theoretical part is devoted to the burnout syndrome, which is in the opinion of helping professions and in social work, not least, a more common phenomenon than we can imagine. The investigation itself took place in the above- mentioned organization, where I distributed questionnaires on satisfaction with the services to several groups of respondents. In the practical part, I evaluated these questionnaires and evaluated them with other services. The evaluation showed that the clients are satisfied with the support provided and the employees and guardians (family members) perceive the situation in a very similar way. Supporting Possibilities for Graduates of Practical School in Transitiv to the next Life Stage

The bachelor thesis deals with preferences of supporting possibilities for graduates of practical school in transitiv to the next life stage. The main aim of the thesis is to get into the issue of autonomy and independence of graduates of practical school in České Budějovice. Find out if parents are thinking about this transit period and about the future housing of their child. The partial aim of the practical part is find out how graduates of practical schools are using the possibilities of self-housing. If they or their parents know all the support options that can be offered to them. The text is divided into two parts theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses on the characteristics of mental disabilities, adolescence with mental disabilities, education of people with mental disabilities, social services sheltered housing and supported self-housing. The practical part contains a qualitative research strategy where the methods of semi-structured interview and participant observation are used. An open coding technique was used to evaluate the data. The research group consists of 12 people, 6 graduates of practical school and 6 their parents.
Provision of practical social service "Support for independent living" for people with disabilities

Social service Support for independent living provides life for people with disabilities in the common environment. The theoretical part describes the most important topics concerning integration people with disabilities into society. One of the tools of social integration is just the Social service support for independent living. The aim of this work is to map the social service Support for independent living and focus on the scope, focus, form and methods for implementation service. Furthermore, to implement research on a sample of adults with disabilities, users of the Social service support for independent living. I used the tool of social worker "3P - Profile of the necessary support." The practical part was processed through qualitative research. I used the following methods and techniques of data collection: questionnaire survey, on-standardized telephone interviews, secondary data analysis. Research has found that the social service Support for independent living in the Czech Republic is unevenly distributed. This service is unavailable in some regions for certain target groups. This service is suitable for people with disabilities with lower support. This conclusion was achieved by applying an instrument for social worker "3P - Profile of necessary support". Social service support for independent living helps these people to integrate into society and therefore its availability should increase.
Support of independent housing provided to mentally handicapped people in the Czech Republic

Support of independent housing is a field service of social care. Support of independent housing is provided to people with a health handicap or a chronic disease including a mental disease. The diploma thesis is focused on provision of this service to mentally handicapped people. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis summarizes the most important topics relating to mentally handicapped people. The theoretical part also describes the social service consisting in support of independent housing, and other additional and consequential integration tools. The objective of the thesis is to analyze the current state of providing the service consisting in support of independent housing to mentally handicapped people in the Czech Republic in respect of the conditions set by the service providers for the service provision, the methods of the service provision and the structure of the service users. The research was conducted quantitatively, using an interrogation method (a questionnaire technique) and a method of the current state analysis, in particular through the register of social services providers.
