Analysis of Network Error Logging Deployment
Jurík, Matej ; Jeřábek, Kamil (referee) ; Polčák, Libor (advisor)
Network Error Logging (NEL) is a technology for monitoring the availability of web pages managed by web servers that deploy NEL. Monitored web servers are those that contain a NEL HTTP header in the HTTP responses they send out to their clients. The goal of this thesis is to research the deployment and usage of this technology from its creation until this day. The focus was therefore placed on finding available data sources and a way to carry out a research like this. As the input data, I used a project called HTTP Archive, that has been using automated web browsing to get and store data containing HTTP traffic from a large set of domains ever since 2010. In addition to the input data obtained this way, I also collected additional data containing HTTP traffic recorded in the present from a set of relevant domains selected from HTTP Archive's data. This additional data was obtained by using my own implementation of a tool for automated web browsing, that was created as a part of this thesis. After analyzing all the collected data, I successfully gained detailed insights about the deployment of NEL since the September of 2018 until the present. The results are described in the text of this thesis.
Test Automation of Web Applications
Novotný, Libor ; Bardonek, Petr (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to investigate tools for web application testing automation and to compare them with each other. The tested tools include Selenium, Katalon Studio and Playwright. The tests were created as part of a behaviour-driven development process and used to automate the testing of the information system of Optimal-Energy.cz, a.s. Based on the created solutions, a suitable tool for further testing of the company's system was selected. The results of this thesis allow to compare the possibilities of each tool and may help in the selection of a suitable automation tool. The created solution facilitated the process of testing the selected web application.
Page Segmentation in a Web Browser
Zubrik, Tomáš ; Polčák, Libor (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This thesis deals with the web page segmentation in a web browser. The implementation of Box Clustering Segmentation (BCS) method in JavaScript using an automated browser was created. The actual implementation consists of two main steps, which are the box extraction (leaf DOM nodes) from the browser context and their subsequent clustering based on the similarity model defined in BCS. Main result of this thesis is a functional implementation of BCS method usable for web page segmentation. The evaluation of the functionality and accuracy of the implementation is based on a comparison with a reference implementation created in Java.
Web Page Archiving Tools
Kvačkaj, Matúš ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of archiving and reproduction of web pages. The aim was to provide a tool that, after specifying the URL and parameters, creates an archive in WARC format of a given page and also generates its textual description, suitable for further processing and analysis. The tool also supports the reverse process - replaying a site from a WARC archive and generating a textual description of the page. When implementing the tool, it was intended that it would be applied to an existing dataset and would be part of a bulk data processing. The Webis-Web-Archive-17 dataset was used, which contains approximately 10,000 WARC archives collected since 2017. To ensure maximum portability of the tool, Docker containerization was used.
Critical Responses to Ondře Sokol's Plays in Činoherní Klub.
Smrčková, Lenka ; Christov, Petr (advisor) ; Pšenička, Martin (referee)
This BA Thesis deals with analysis of responses to productions directed by Ondřej Sokol in Činoherní klub from 2002 to 2011. The analysis will be elaborated on the bases of criticism of particular productions and expert studies that pursue staging of new Czech texts and translations of Ondřej Sokol. Its aim is to express a progress of critics' and audience's acceptance of new plays and also to monitor the expansion of the texts to other theatres and their popularization. The thesis describes a phenomenon of a new poetics that penetrated the Czech theatre milieu through Sokol's translational and dramaturgic work.
