Design of a closed cooling circuit
Novotný, Tomáš ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design a closed cooling circuit for specific technologies of the power plant machinery room, namely lubricating oil system, power generator and high pressure hydraulic system. The main task is to provide heat dissipation from each system to a central heat exchanger, which is one of the objectives of the thesis design. The work is divided into three parts. The first part deals with the basic description of the cooling circuits and their division. In the second part, the basic components of the cooling circuit and their functions are presented. The principle of heat sharing is also presented. In the third part of the paper, the actual design of the closed cooling circuit is presented, which includes the design of the central heat exchanger. The work includes a model of the piping, which is based on a basic heat balance and P&ID diagram. AVEVA E3D software was used for its creation. Based on the piping isometry and pressure losses in the individual devices, the pressure loss of the circuit is determined. Another objective of the work is the design of the expansion vessel. The problem is solved by using software suitable for solving each part of the design. The output of the work is a refrigeration circuit meeting the requirements for the specified conditions.
Strength calculation of high-pressure steam piping according to EN 13480
Řezník, Dominik ; Pernica, Marek (referee) ; Létal, Tomáš (advisor)
The Master's thesis deals with the stress and strength calculation of a high-pressure steam piping system, which is part of the steam piping system of a waste-to-energy plant. In the theoretical part of the thesis, basic knowledge about stress and strength and piping systems (pipe support system, types of loads, fittings and other components) is summarized with respect to the used standards. Part of the theoretical section also includes one of the objectives of the thesis, which is to provide basic knowledge about the KKS codes. In the practical part, firstly, using the VVD software, the pipe class is calculated and created in order to design nominal thicknesses of all the pipes and fittings from the piping system. The core part of the work is the performance of the stress and strength calculation in the CAESAR II software, which includes the appropriate setting of the calculation model based on the calculated pipe class and the documentation from the customer, the selection of pipe supports and the adjustment of the pipelines based on the previous and ongoing results. As part of the calculation, the nozzle loads and support loads are also assessed and verified. In the last part of the work, a simplified FEM calculation of the dump-tube (transition component for steam discharge into the condenser) is performed in PRG NozzlePro software. All the modifications are continuously discussed and the results are then summarized.
Analysis of nozzle-to-shell joint connected to the process piping
Ondráček, Marek ; Michálková, Anežka (referee) ; Pernica, Marek (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on the stress analysis of the nozzle-shell junction of a pressure vessel loaded with forces and moments from the connected process piping. The diploma thesis provides general information about pressure vessels, nozzles, piping systems, and details the various methods used for the calculations. The computational part of the diploma thesis focus on the stress analysis at the nozzle-shell junction of the pressure vessel, where the analyzed nozzle is connected to the process piping. The piping generates forces and moments on the nozzle, which must be considered in the stress calculations for this junction. The software Caesar II is used to calculate the forces and moments from the piping. For the stress analysis of the junction, the thesis uses several calculation methods, including the Welding Research Council (WRC) guidelines, PD 5500 standard, CSN EN 13445 standard, and the Finite Element Method (FEM). The objective of the thesis is to evaluate the outcomes of each method, compare them, and assess their approaches to calculating the stress at the junction between the nozzle and the shell of the pressure vessel.
Analysis of the condition of the K 220-44 steam turbine drainage pipeline and proposal of corrective measures
Horký, Jiljí ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the drainage pipeline of the Škoda K 220-44 steam turbine. This turbine is operated in Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant. One part of this work is proposal of corrective measures. The aims of this work include the creation of a search for drainage, steam, erosion corrosion and mapping of defects in long-term operated drainage system. Work also includes the evaluation of measured values of the pipe wall thickness measured by ultrasonic analyzer. In addition, the work contains images created from 3D model, on which the location of defects and measurements are displayed.
Manual versus orbital GTAW piping welding
Hofbauer, Jan ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Sigmund, Marian (advisor)
In thesis are compared options of stainless steel piping welding, orbital and manual version of method GTAW and GMAW. At the beginning, these methods are described theoretically and after that there are described materials used for fabrication two test welds on austenitic steel piping of diameter 168 mm. The first weld was made by orbital method GTAW, the second one by manual method GMAW. Next, these two welds are compared based on defects, welding parameters and width of heat affected area. The conclusion is that both welds are defect-free and because of economical aspects is better to use orbital GMAW method for this diameter of piping.
Technology project for production of part "No.2432-cover"
Bednář, Martin ; Šlais, Miroslav (referee) ; Rumíšek, Pavel (advisor)
The project developed in the framework of Bachelor's study presents a proposal of producing technology of cover "2432", part of the sheet. Based on literature research, the studies and on own experience has been produced this work. The issue of materials, cutting, piping, drawing, design of the tool, evaluation of economic and technological design production has been studied. On the basis of the combined instrument has been designed, constructed according to standards, and the use of existing machinery. To resolve it was accounted economic assessment, which enabled decision-making between the semi-finished products for production. It was found that current production is not economically advantageous, compared to the options proposed. It has been ensured and the complex layout of machines in the area of existing production.
Design and lay-out of high pressure pumping station.
Václavík, Tomáš ; Franc, Zdeněk (referee) ; Habán, Vladimír (advisor)
The aim of diploma thesis is design and lay-out of high pressure pumping station with plunger pumps for splash of scales from slabs of hot-rolled. Theoretic (introduction) part of this thesis contain description of formation of scales and description of ways how it is possible remove these scales. And this part contains also explication of effect of water jet on solid material. The practical part of diploma thesis is focused on design of pumping station including of dimensioning of machinery. Part of this work is also technical documentation for proposed pumping station and specification of main machines and devices.
Condensing technology and flue gas
Müller, Jan ; Topič, Jan (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
This thesis is developed as a proposal for heating for a primary school and kindergarten in the region of Brno-countryside. For the insulated building, a combination of heating and air-conditioning is proposed. The concept is designed so that the air-conditioning preheats the exterior air and the heating system warms the incoming air to a comfortable temperature. For the required thermal performance, sources of heat (for gas and pellets) and a layout solution for the boiler room is designed. Drainage of combustion products is proposed for both solutions. The project solution is per the extent of the construction permit. The theoretical part is linked with the practical part through the condensation boilers, their function and division, and drainage of combustion products. The experiment for the given topic was conducted on the drainage of combustion products. The pressure loss of the reverse knob was determined in relation to the flow rate of air in the condensation boilers as this loss is essential in assessing the drainage of combustion products.
