3D model
Sládeček, Martin ; Petyovský, Petr (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
This paper concerns the task three-dimensional scene using image sequence obtained with an ordinry camera. First portion of this thesis outlines the principles used in solving of the task, the second chapter describes a reconstucion algorithm and it's implementation in the Python programming language. The output of this program is demonstrated on several selected scenes. Final remarks discuss the quality of resulting models, shortcomings of the program and possible improvements.
"Fisheye" Camera Projection
Macík, Pavel ; Juránek, Roman (referee) ; Seeman, Michal (advisor)
The thesis describes theoretical fundamentals of optics and problems of ray-tracing method, ray-triangle intersection computation included. Next section describes concept of three different camera models for ray-tracing method - plain camera, pinehole camea and spherical camera (fish-eye). The thesis comparse properties and capabilities of camera models and their effect to projected image of a scene. The program for raytracing was implemented for purposes of the thesis including implementation of camera models described in the thesis.
Determination of Motion Parameters in Machine Vision
Dušek, Stanislav ; Horák, Karel (referee) ; Janáková, Ilona (advisor)
This thesis describe about determination of camera motion parameters in plane. At first there are introduce the basics of motion tracking, is focused to find out displacement between two input images. Below is describe the algorithm GoodFeatruresToTrack, which find out the most significant point in a first image. The point is search out the good point, which will be easy to track in next image, reduce the data volume and prepare the input information (array of significant point) for the algorithm Lucas-Kanade optical flow. In second part is deal with processing and utilization estimations optical flow. There is median filtration, below is describe computation of homogenous transformation, which describe all affine transformation in affine space. As the result are coordinates, which describe the shift between the two input images as X-axis and Y-axis value. The project used the library Open Computer Vision.
Czech Illustrated Book for Children
Nemergutová, Anna ; Francová, Sylva (advisor) ; Daniel, Ladislav (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with current approaches to the book as such and gradually focouses mainly on making books for children and youth. It presents Czech illustrators and creators of artist's books. The key element of the work is the interconnection of content through illustration and photography. The content of the book is intended primarily for children and it is demonstrated by a selection of Czech authors and their work, in which they connect text, ilustration and photography. Theoretical knowledge of this work is based on the practical part with the aim to create an artist's book for children using photography. Through an illustrated story, it introduces the principle of camera obscura and presents instructions for assembling a pinhole camera. The didactic method then presents and implements ideas for the application of photography in art education through two art tasks. KEYWORDS children's book, artist book, ilustration, pinhole camera, art education
Camera Obscura as an Unique Tool of Recording Reality. Possibilities of its Application in Contemporary Art Education
Nováčková, Marie ; Magidová, Markéta (advisor) ; Pfeiffer, Jan (referee)
Marie Nováčková Bachelor thesis Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Education, Department of Art Education Camera obscura as an Unique Tool of Recording Reality. Possibilities of its Application in Contemporary Art Education. The thesis follows camera obscura as an unique medium for artistic work. Forms of camera obscura are described through the cultural and historical context, focusing on contemporary visual culture and pinhole photography. The pinhole camera is seen as a tool for artistic work, which can be subject to the author, can cooperate with him or can be artistically autonomus. These theoretical findings are reflected in the conception of an educational program connecting learning about the development of photographic images with the individual perception of their stories. A pinhole photography and the related story from the practical part is a comic strip created by using photographies made by pinhole camera, which storyline supported by a drawing. The comic strip is called The Ravens Player and its format is structured as Bach's composition Toccata a fuga in d-moll. Key words: analog photography, camera obscura, pinhole camera, art education, visual culture, comic strip

One day. Set of photographs taken with a pinhole camera.
MALÁ, Petra
This theoretical-practical work analyzes pinhole photography technique. It describes pinhole camera principle in general and the process of its construction. However, it mainly focuses on the development of this technique in a historical context from the first imaging media to the pinhole camera of today used as a medium in contemporary art. This work also refers to significant figures from this area and provides links to important sources of information. The practical part of this work contains my personal experience making pinhole cameras, which is based upon the knowledge gained by completing the theoretical work. The practical section also comprises eight different pinhole cameras, a set of photos with the theme "One day" and a brochure. The brochure sumarizes the technical specifications of pinhole cameras and photos taken by these cameras.
