Optimation of wax pattern manufacture - wax mixtures and its testing
Koběrský, František ; Kosour, Vojtěch (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with a general description and distribution of waxes and wax mixtures for investment casting in the first part. The second part is devoted to descriptions of various mechanical and physical properties of waxes and their testing.
Static Analysis of Textile Structures
Husáriková, Natália ; Gratza, Roman (referee) ; Kytýr, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with the design and calculation of membrane structure for shelter placed above selected ground plan. The hyperbolic paraboloid was chosen as most optimal shape. Subsequently, three different sub-studies were conducted. In the first study, influence of mesh density on a finite element calculation model was studied. Second study deal with the effect of the geometry changes of the computational model. In the third study, deformations and tensions of membrane structure in relation to material formation calculation model was studied. For the static solution of those selected variant, structural analysis software RFEM and RF-FORM-FINDING add-on module was used. Geometric nonlinear solution was applied in the calculation.
Development of thermal insulation materials based on natural fibers
Slípková, Andrea ; Kout, Pavel (referee) ; Zach, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis discusses possibilities of use new thermal insulation materials based on natural renewable resources (primary technical hemp) in development of the new thermal insulation materials. The main task (in the work) is to find modifications of the thermal insulation mats based on natural fibres by chemicals substances to improve the moisture properties, thermal properties and fire resistance.
Evaluation of the condition of structural wood using resistance drilling with the Rinntech RESISTOGRAPH detection drill
Szórád, Martin ; Anton, Ondřej (referee) ; Heřmánková, Věra (advisor)
The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on a basic overview of wood properties, damage, protection and used diagnostic methods. In the practical part, it focuses on the comparison of selected physical and mechanical properties with the resistance characte-ristics obtained from resistance drilling. Finally, a design calculation is performed using the results from the measurements in the practical part.
Study of reflectance of materials for construction surface treatment
Rauchfussová, Karolína ; Šot, František (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (advisor)
Presented work deals with the study of properties of the progressive heat-reflecting foil thermal insulating materials. The work describes the transport mechanism of thermal energy through the structure of heat-reflecting materials, physical properties are compared with conventional thermal insulating materials. It is also shown here the main applications of these materials are in the field of low-energy and passive houses, especially in terms of the optimal method of incorporating in the building. The practical part is devoted to measuring of reflectance was made and then the measuring device HOT BOX was assembled.
Properties of fluids
Dzjamko, Vladislav ; Štefan, David (referee) ; Himr, Daniel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to present the basic equations describing the behaviour of fluids and to describe the substance characteristics that are present in them. The thesis is divided into four successive chapters, the first two of which explain the causes and consequences of the various fluid properties. The following chapter is devoted to equations and their derivation. Finally, the content of the thesis includes a description of some methods for determining selected material constants.
Heating of the guesthouse
Diatel, Jakub ; Topič, Jan (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
The theoretical part of this thesis is based on ideal design of solar systems and determine physical properties of antifreezing mix based on glycol in different concentration by Swiss mathematical model. In practical part is solved heating of the guesthouse by pellets. Heating of the hot domestic water was designed by solar collectors. Forced ventilation was designed with heat recovery.
Experimental Research in the Field of Glue Laminated Elements on the Basis of Climate Tolerant Deciduous Trees
Šuhajdová, Eva ; Straka,, Bohumil (referee) ; Kanocz,, Jan (referee) ; Pěnčík, Jan (advisor)
This Doctoral thesis is focused on research of usability hardwood that is not used in structural engineering nowadays. Analysis of known hardwood properties and its verification by experiment was made. Mathematic analysis using the PROMETHEE method was used for most suitable hardwood species selection in the Central Europe conditions. The most suitable hardwood – beech – was subjected for further tests: finger-joint load bearing capacity experiment and beech homogenous and hybrid glulam experiment. The test results are compared with the values from professional literature.
Study utility properties of heat-reflective insulation for the buildings
Rauchfussová, Karolína ; TROJAN,, Karel (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (advisor)
Presented work deals with the study progressive heat-reflecting foil thermal insulating materials and defines their thermal insulation properties. The work describes a transport mechanism of thermal energy in the structure of heat-reflecting materials, their physical properties, especially heat resistance, compared to the conventional thermal insulating materials available on Czech market. The main applications ways and installation methods of these materials (especially in low-energy and passive buildings) are also shown. The practical part is focused on asembling the measuring device HOT BOX in accordance with the valid standards, to determine the heat resistance of heat-reflecting materials. In next step the measurement of reflection of aluminum foils (an integral part of the structural arrangement heat-reflecting foil insulations) was performed.
Changes in some physical properties of the aqueous suspension of corundum powder during ultrafine grinding
Šuleková, Nikola ; Šiler, Pavel (referee) ; Svěrák, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the study of changes in properties of the aqueous suspensions of corundum during ultrafine grinding without and with the addition of grinding activator. Such studies are an important step in  optimizing the grinding process properly, because by measuring physical properties of a particulate substance, it is easy to determine the actual fineness of the ground substance and its quality for further processing. For the measurement of granulometry, zeta potential, rheological behavior and turbidity, corundum suspensions in distilled water were prepared in a 1:5 ratio without the addition of grinding activator and with the addition of triethanolamine (TEA), by using a planetary mill. The suspensions showed pseudoplastic behavior and the zeta potential of all samples ranged between -30 and 30 mV, thus the suspensions were rather unstable. During the grinding, the viscosity and turbidity of the samples increased. TEA was not proved to be a suitable activator for wet milling of corundum because of higher degree of fineness achieved during milling without an activator.
