Torsional stress fixture design using a universal testing machine

This thesis aims to design a fixture for static torque testing for the Shimadzu AGX-V2 series universal testing machine. The fixture enables the mechanical conversion of linear motion to rotational motion and the securing of samples. The design includes the method of attaching the fixture to the machine, the geometry of the tested samples, and their fixation. The introductory part of the thesis provides a brief overview of possible motion conversion methods, the standardization of torque tests, and examples of several torque testing machines. The conceptual part focuses on designing variants of the fixture. Two variants are proposed: the first based on the principle of gears and the second on the principle of cams. These are compared using the finite element method. Based on the results, the fixture with the gear mechanism is selected, capable of torquing both solid and structured samples at an assumed maximum torque of 250 Nm. In the construction part, the final design of the mechanism is carried out and then verified using the finite element method and analytical strength calculations.
Lifting roller table

This thesis deals with the current lifting devices and conceptual design of the lifting roller table, which serves as a knot on the transport line. The table is used to transport 1000 kg EUR pallets, with a 200 mm height change required. The thesis contains a brief analysis of the lifting structures, the design of the roller track, the design and strength calculations of the scissor mechanism. It also includes assembly drawings, frame subassemblies, and workshop drawings.
Gantry crane

In this work will be shown basic principes and dimensions of hydraulic presses, It will show categories of hydraulic presses based on technology of use. We will design hydraulic press adjustment, hydraulic parts and frame of the hydraulic press.
Assembly Design of Ball-Joint Test Bench Hydraulic Unit

The main object of this thesis is the proposal of fitting (setting) hydraulic cylinder into test equipment of ball-joints of company TRW-DAS Dačice a.s. The thesis includes a short review about testing ball-joint of above company and about liquid mechanisms. Also, there are analyzed demands for fitting (setting) hydraulic cylinder into testing equipment. In the main part of this thesis there is described my own constructive proposal with numeric calculations in proper software. In enclosure there are all analytical calculations with productive drawings and an assembly drawing.

Tesla Bladeless Turbine

The diploma thesis describes design of bladeless machine known as a Tesla turbine. The work is divided into theoretical part, practical part involving the design and experimental measurements of made bladeless turbine and a final assessment of thesis. The theoretical part deals with the basic design features of bladeless machines and their design modifications and flow in the nozzles. Furthermore there is a dedicated part of the dynamics of working fluid in the rotor of bladeless turbine represented by CFD modeling. The practical part includes the design and construction of parts of the turbine on a preliminary calculation using an analytical model of the flow in the turbine. The designed turbine components were checked for operational safety with structural calculations of shaft and disk impeller. The thesis was also performed experimental measuring of parameters of designed bladeless turbine. Measured values were compared with the analytical model which predicted turbine efficiency. In conclusion, besides to assessment, thesis also outlines possible proposals for further improvements of constructed bladeless turbine.
Hydraulic press for stamping of rotor packets

This bachelor thesis is focused on design of the hydraulic press for pressing assembly unit of the rotor and the shaft for electric motor. The content of this thesis are elastic and deformation calculations of frame and calculation of hydraulics components. Technical documentation of this hydraulic press were created based on previous calculations.
Structural design of the SOU Orbiter rack stacker

This thesis deals with rack stackers transporting pallets in rack channels. The goal is to make a competitive construction design of the given rack stacker. The thesis describes the principle of stacker function and the technical parameters of similar rack stackers. Subsequently, the structural design of the rack stacker, force analysis, kinematic analysis of the lifting mechanism and strength control of selected structural nodes are carried out. The drawing documentation is also a part of this diploma thesis.
