Kulková, Markéta ; Krykorková, Hana (advisor) ; Sedláčková, Daniela (referee)
This thesis entitled "Teachers and their possibilities of building pupils' self- realization" is both, theoretical and empirical. Its objective is to map the problems of pupils' self-realization in school environment. It pays close attention to the self-realization of pupils and the possibilities of its shaping by people participating on the educational process. The thesis attempts to define the likely causes of pupils' failure to succeed and do well at school. It also provides possible solutions which might help shape pupils' personality and build their self-realization. The solutions might be of great use to teachers in their classes. The objective of the empirical part in the first place is to analyze the connection between pupils' self- realization, teachers' assessment of pupils' self-realization and pupils' attainment. Key words: selfhood, personality, self-realization, teacher, pupil, school success and failure, self-esteem, self-assessment, pedagogical and psychological diagnostics, pupils' (school) self- realization level, attainment

Rybářová, Kateřina ; Komárková, Tereza (advisor) ; Sedláčková, Daniela (referee)
The objective of this thesis "Anxiety And Fear At School" is to further reasearch how and when teachers feel ready and able to recognize an anxious child at school and as well to be able to work with a child whose anxiety may be caused by a specific situation at school. The thesis researches school as a potential source of anxiety and fear and describes specific situations which may cause or contribute to this phenomenon. Theoretical findings are supported by research conducted amongst teachers. Two case studies of students which have experienced fear and anxiety at school, connected to specific school situations are provided. These case studies observe the solutions in those situations, as well as the impact of the experience on the students in question. The education of teachers at universities in the field of pedagogical-psychological diagnosis can in certain cases be insufficient and sometimes can also be difficult to apply in real life situations. This can lead to some situations of an anxious child at school being dealt with intuitively rather than professionally. The availability of electronic information can provide untrained teachers with a...

Preparation of child for primary school entrance.
KOLÁŘOVÁ, Tereza
This bachelor thesis is focused on preparing children for elementary school and aims to map the risks for the future development of reading and writing skills and to suggest the ways and actions through which it is possible to reduce these risks in the regular kindergarten. The theoretical part focuses on preschool children's individual areas of perceptual and cognitive functions that influence early academic skills such as reading and writing. Further explains the concepts of school maturity and preparedness, as well as the diagnostics. The practical part consists of a qualitative survey of ten preschool children. During this survey children were monitored at selected variables, such as phonological and morphological abilities, working memory, speech, visual perception and intermodal encoding using test batteries. The work is part of a larger project, "Predictors of reading skills as factors influencing the development of literacy."
