Working hours, its lenght and distribution, with the focus on part-time Abstract The thesis deals with the issue of working hours and its distribution with a special focus on part-time. The thesis also introduces the legislation of part-time in the foreign law system, particularly in the Netherlands. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the current legal regulation of working hours, its length and distribution, focusing on part-time. The thesis is divided into six chapters, which represent labor law in the system of law, historical development of working hours, sources of labor law, legal regulation of working hours and rest periods and distribution of working hours. The fifth chapter deals with labor law institutes in which part-time deviate from the set weekly working hours. The chapter defines persons that are entitled to apply for part-time or another suitable adjustment of their working hours, forms of these suitable adjustments and the interpretation of the concept of operational reasons by the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic. The thesis also describes the method of calculating and remunerating overtime work for part-time employees and the calculation of the leave of those part-time employees whose working hours are unequally spread over several working days per week. Flexible Work Arrangements

The diploma thesis investigates attitudes of employers and employees towards flexible forms of working. Flexible forms of working are, for purpose of the diploma thesis, understood as a tool for work-life balance. Attention is devoted to part-time, home office, flexible working hours and job-sharing. Research of employers and employees attitudes is based on a questionnaire survey and focus groups realized within a project METR at Fond of Further Education. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out not only the actual using of flexible forms of working in companies and organizations, but also the potential for their development. The results of the diploma thesis show that flexible forms of working are very actual topic among employers and employees. However, employers are still afraid of their implementation. Part-time contracts are the most often used flexible forms of working and also have the greatest potential for the future development. Female employment evolution in the Czech Republic and Germany in years 1993 - 2015

This bachelor thesis deals with employment of women. Comparison of employment development in the Czech Republic and the FRG in the years 1993 to 2015 enables consultation and understanding this complex topic and its specific features on the observed territory. The thesis also analyzes related topics, e.g. changes of parental allowance in the Czech Republic, Elternsgeld and Elternszeit in the FRG, reconciling work and family life in the context of part-time contracts etc. The last part of the thesis compares findings and their substantiation based on the EUROSTAT data. The impact of former long-term belonging to the Eastern Bloc was confirmed during the writing of this thesis as still observable within employment of women.
