Circumstances for drop out of youth in chosen ice hockey club

Title: Circumstances for drop out of youth in chosen ice hockey club Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to find out the main reasons that led to the players leaving the selected hockey club. The case study focuses on all players aged 15 to 20 who have left the club in the last five years. Methods: A combination of quantitative and qualitative methods was used in this work. Specifically, electronic questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were used to collect data. Individual questions were developed based on existing studies that address this issue as well as the supervisor's expert advice. Results: The main reason for players leaving the club was insufficient technical facilities. The least important reasons were serious injuries, which prevented the continuation of sports activities and interest in other sports. Of the ten most important reasons, six are intrapersonal, two interpersonal and two structural. Title: Perception of sexual harassment in the sports industry: case of Czech university students Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to analyse and describe the perception of sexual harassment in the environment of organized sport in the Czech Republic from the perspective of selected students attending Czech universities. At the same time, it also explains the importance of taking this problem into account, the solution of which should be addressed by the management of sports organisations. Methods: In order to achieve the results, mixed research is used in this thesis. Firstly, through the qualitative part, i.e. focus group, opinions on the topic of sexual harassment in the environment of organized sport are obtained, which are further used and elaborated on the quantitative method of questionnaire survey, to obtain the respondents experiences and opinions on the topic. Results: Selected students attending Czech universities frequently and repeatedly encounter sexual harassment in the environment of organized sport. The perpetrator is often a male athlete or coach and the victim a female athlete. The most common are verbal and non- verbal forms. Title of the thesis: Continuation of athletic careers of graduates of sports classes of a chosen school. Aims: The main aim of the Bachelor's thesis is to identify the factors that may influence the early termination of an athletic career. Methods: The thesis uses qualitative research in the form of an interview with the head of the sports classes of the selected school and quantitative research in the form of a questionnaire that was sent to the graduates of the sports classes of the selected school. Results: The main reasons why graduates quit athletics are interests in other activities, injuries, the time commitment of athletics, transferring to high school, generally not enough time, and the breakup of a group. Drop out in competitive girl's basketball

Title: Drop out in women's youth competitive basketball Objectives: The main goal of this master thesis is to use electronic questioning to find out the reasons for the atrition of former female players, within the last five years, in the categories U12-U19 (the so-called age category 12-19 years) from the basketball Youth Sports Centers (SCM and SpS) that have been assigned the status of the year 2022. Methods: The work used a combination of the quantitative method, in the form of an electronic questionnaire that was sent to former young female players, and the qualitative method, where in-depth interviews were conducted with four coaches and one female coach. For higher accuracy and better com- parison of results, the questionnaire was constructed based on previously conducted studies on the drop out of sports activities of children and youth, specifically according to the model "Questionnaire of reasons for attri- tion" by Gould et al. (1982). Results: A total of 1945 girls droped out from basketball centers during the period under review. 160 former players participated in the research. Conditions for the organized and unorganized sport children aged 11-15 years in Brandýs nad Labem - Stará Boleslav

Title: Conditions for the organized and unorganized sport children aged 11-15 years in Brandýs nad Labem - Stará Boleslav Targets: The aim of this thesis is find out the relation of children aged 11-15 years in Brandýs nad Labem - Stará Boleslav to sports activities and find out their satisfaction with the spatial and material conditions for the sport. Methods: To obtain the necessary data was used the method of quantitative empirical research using questionnaires. It was also used data analysis and semi-structured interviews. Quantitative data were processed by PC programs Microsoft Excel and Statistica. Results: The results of the survey revealed satisfaction of the respondents with the conditions for the organized and unorganized sport in the city. It was also found out what kinds of sports facilities and sports clubs are missed by the respondents in Brandýs nad Labem - Stará Boleslav. Motives for drop out of children in chosen basketball club

Title: Motives for drop out of children in chosen basketball club Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to conduct a case study via questionares and deep interviews find out reasons for drop out of female former players from the age categories 12-18 during the two last seasons from chosen basketball club. Methods: In thesis was used a quantitative method, more precisely questionnaires were sent via email to former female players and their parents. Along with in-depth interviews with three players and the club manager. For better accuracy and comparison of the results questions were constructed based on previously published studies about youth sport drop out. Results: The most important reason for drop out was feeling, that team is not interested in them. Of the ten most cited reasons two were structural and two interpersonal, six of them are intrapersonal constraints. Structural constrains appeared overall to be the least important.
