Pricing of IT Goods
Kacina, Michal ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Květoňová, Šárka (advisor)
The thesis contains the theoretical basis for study of possibilities of pricing information goods. The source areas are microeconomics, marketing, competitive advantage and economics of information goods. The model of market is created with constraints defined on the ground of theoretical basis. The thesis analyzes requirements that define the system that supports the choice of pricing strategy. It includes detailed design of the prototype of such system. The prototype is designed with robustness because of the future improvements. The design describes the prototype's input parameters and their transformation into useful outputs that cover basic characteristics of information goods. The designed prototype is implemented. The thesis includes demonstration of the prototype and possible directions for improvements that lead to validity of proposed model of market.
Vehicle Kinematics and Dynamics Simulations
Zháňal, Lubor ; Bauer, František (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This paper focuses on the kinematic and dynamic numerical simulation of mechanisms by applying a numerical method, and a complex simulation programme built on it, developed by the author. Described are mathematical principles of the numerical method used and also the programming progression of the important parts of the application and its optimization. The final part includes comparative measuring of the accuracy and performance.
Optimisation of a part production for aircraft industry
Filipčík, Jiří ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with optimization of production of "Hold-down hinge hook" component, developed from difficult-to-cut titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V. This work is focused on the material properties of the component, current research and optimization in titanium machinability sphere. Further it contains a part dedicated to the latest trends in development of cutting tools for machining of titanium alloys. This knowledge is furthermore used for the component production optimization in Frencken Brno s.r.o. company. This project continues with analysis of the component‘s current production technology and designs the way of elimination of production bottleneck. This change is presented by component‘s clamp jig, which decreases higher percentage of scrap due to the geometric complexity. This thesis further contains drawing and technological documentation needed for implementation of the improvement suggestions into the production. There was designed a new NC program. This project is accomplished with technical-economical evaluation.
VBA and Maple application in process engineering problematics.
Farkač, Daniel ; Jegla, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kohoutek, Josef (advisor)
The task of the diploma thesis named VBA and Maple Application on Process Engineering Problems is to show the possibilities of using these programming languages for various engineering tasks. Particularly the programming language Visual Basic for Application (VBA), which is a part of MS Office package, is very little used in practise. That´s why this thesis solves the complex task of a furnaces design process; the topic was reccomended by the supervisor prof. Ing. Josef Kohoutek, CSc. Specifically, the thesis deals with calculations of heat transfer and optimization of the height of extended surfaces of tubes in the convection section of process furnaces. The entire task is elaborated in VBA and runs in Excel. After entering the input information, the created program first calculates the size and heat output of the convection section, but it can also optimize the height of extended surfaces in different parts of the convection section and thus minimize investment costs.
Mathematical Models of Demand
Trzaskaliková, Eva ; Půža, Bedřich (referee) ; Mezník, Ivan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the analyses of demand using standard tools of engineering mathematics. Mathematical models of demand, both single and multi- factor are investigated. Elasticity of demand is applied for decision making in price policy. Problems of optimization of demand reflecting utility and budget constraints are under consideration. Constructions of demand curve and compensated demand curve are presented. The text is accompanied by illustrative examples aiming at methodical aspects of the work
Electrochemical analytical devices for thick-film sensors measurement
Pytlíček, Zdeněk ; Adámek, Martin (referee) ; Prášek, Jan (advisor)
This work covers an area of electrochemical analytical systems for trace determination of dissolved species in water solutions with use of thick-film sensors. Several types of common electrochemical devices including special ones used for sensors are described and compared in this work. The main goal of this work is to find the suitable electrochemical arrangement with the best, reliable and reproducible current response of the thick film sensors. A new electrochemical arrangement, which should eliminate disadvantages of common devices and unite their advantages with optimization for thick film sensors, is designed here. For better current response of the sensor, suitable improvements and optimization of the new electrochemical arrangement prototype were done in this work. All measurements were done on standard electrochemical couple of potassium ferro-ferricyanide using the cyclic voltammetry. In the end of this work, all the devices are compared in term of their features and presumptions for the best detection limit of the thick film sensors.
On the optimization of suction valve joint strength testing
Attasek, Radek ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the testing and its optimization of the joint suction valve strength. The main intention is an analysis the current state of the pressing process in the department for installations of suction valves at Bosch Diesel, Ltd. Jihlava. Part of the work is focused on the new design of the teswting equipment with an intention to reduce the need of service and reduction of the production tact, with a final discussion and assessment.
Mathematical Modelling of Vehicle Fuel Consumption
Dražka, Jan ; Novotný, Jan (referee) ; Popela, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with a model building of vehlicle’s model based on real data and with a modelling of it’s movement and it’s fuel consumption. The thesis includes a preparation of input data as well as model building. The main aim of the thesis is the comparison among selected driving modes from the point of fuel consumption and it’s optimization. This comparison is simulated in MATLAB environement and GAMS with the use of selected optimization algorithms.
