Analysis of a Forging Process of the Jaw Turnout Lock Hook
Barták, Jan ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Řiháček, Jan (advisor)
The thesis is focused on optimalization of jaw turnout lock hook forging process which is used in rail transport and is forged from steel of 13 240 grade. Production process of the hook, that is being used in Královopolská kovárna s.r.o. company now, leads to fold defect in the inner side of curved part formation. Conditions of the folds formation were defined using the numeric simulation of this process in Simufact Forming software. After that improvements such as change of semi-finished product size, change of geometry of ancestor shape, bending tools and forging die were made according to linear study of this problematics. These volumetric and geometric changes were verified using the simulation in software and relocation defect did not appear.
Machinery used in an open die forging
Novák, Libor ; Šlais, Miroslav (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
For production of components, which are made by open die forging, are used forging hammers and hydraulic presses. The project contains a dividing of machines, short description, advantages and disadvantages and using of concrete types of forging hammers and hydraulic presses in practice. Advantages of forging hammers are simple construction, high range of choice from many types and simple maintenance. Disadvantages are big shakes and danger of accident. Forging hammers can be chosen from spring, pneumatic, hydraulic and steam air types with or without acceleration. Hydraulic presses are divided into push -down presses (two and four - column presses) and pull - down presses (two and four - column presses). Advantages consist in simple operating and controlling via computer. Disadvantages are complicated construction and difficult maintenance.
Issues of open die forging
Máčala, Daniel ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The thesis submits the overview about issues of open die forging. It is written based on literary studies of theoretical basis with addition of pictures regarding the problematics. It generally deals with open die forging, its principles and sorting. Then the most frequently used initial semi-finished products, its heating and types of machines, are described. The main focus is put on basic forging operations which are concretely described. For the better image of usage of open die forging the examples of forging from manufacturing companies are introduce.
