The aim of the thesis is to analyze chosen agricultural companies and thein relationship to municipalities in which they agriculturaly work. Demographic study and analysis of the selected farm were used to achieve the aim: a questionnaire focused on supplier-customer relations and an interview on the company's history and relationship to the municipality. At the end of the thesis, it results that influence of agricultural companies on rural development is not generalizable and it can not be seen only by an economic aspect. Emotional bondining to the place of business and the established social definition of rural areas play a role in agricultural companies.
The Specific Features of Collectivization in Svitavy District between 1949 and 1960

The thesis deals with the process of collectivization in the area which was the called Svitavy National District Committee. The thesis represents economic and social transformation after the expulsion of Germans from Czechoslovakia. First chapter serves general characteristic of Svitavy District and Svitavy National District Committee which was the intermediary among the government and individual vil- lages. The next chapter focuses on the process of collectivization in Svitavy District divided into three phases - first phase (1949-1953), second phase (1953-1954) and third phase (1954-1960). Regional development is associated with nationwide con- texts which were connected with the process of collectivization. The following chap- ter devotes to individual process of collectivization in selected villages. The author attempts to show the peculiarities of realization of collectivization on the base of micro-historical insight. The aim of the last chapter is to outline the mechanism of judicial repression against private farmers. The main attention is focused on emi- nent local private farmer František Blažek. Evaluation of Long-term Land Cover Changes in the Region of Svitavy

Land Cover changes in region Svitavy Abstract The aim of this thesis is to evaluate land cover changes of remote sensing data in region Svitavy after 1990. Landsat data (1994 and 2001) and IRS-P6 data (2006) were used. The literature search concerns the spectral characteristics of surface, the image classification and evaluating land cover changes in the Czech Republic. For image classification was used Maximum Likelihood algorithm of supervised method. The parts of image classification are the training stage, the classification stage, postclassification smoothing and classification accuracy assessment. Land cover changes were evaluated by compare area and share of land cover category and overlap of vector layers for 1994 - 2001 and 2001 - 2006. Two programmes were used: PCI Geomatica and the ArcGIS. In my classification were found some errors based on evaluation error matrix. For the whole time period was confirm relatively assumed tendency as growth of grasslands and forests and spreading built-up area in region Svitavy. Analysis of labour market Svitavy

This thesis describes the development of unemployment in the district of Svitavy. It is a region with the highest unemployment rate in the Pardubice region and even in the nation-wide scale it is on the lower positions. At the beginning, the work focuses on long-term unemployment because long-term unemployed people are among the most threatened groups on the labour market. It describes their educational structure and the share of women on the whole. The next part of the work focuses on how to address unemployment and describes the active employment policy in the district of Svitavy region and compares its efficiency with the districts of Pardubice Region - Ústí nad Orlicí and Chrudim. At the end of the thesis, with the help of a questionnaire survey, the satisfaction of employers with the supply on the labour market and their participation in active employment policy is detected and based on obtained data a short-term future prediction of development is deduced.
