Basic Firearms Training for The Police of the Czech Republic

Title: Basic Firearms Training for The Police of the Czech Republic Objectives: The objective of the thesis is to elaborate on basic firearms and shooting technique training within the scope of the basic training course of the Police of the Czech Republic. Methods: The fundamental methods used in the thesis are the data collection method, applied not only for studying literature, but also in the subsequent selection of professional experience and knowledge. Another method is the analysis method, used for expert evaluation, verification, the quantitative, material, as well as interpretative and comparative analysis. Another basic scientific method is applied, for the purpose of describing basic methodological and tactical procedures and also creating a set of preparatory training sessions. The method is referred to as information synthesis. Results: The output of the thesis is creating a complex view of the issue concerning firearms training for the Police of the Czech Republic according to today's methodology, tasks and objectives laid on this education course. Despite the curriculum of the firearms training being the same for several years, there is a definite improvement and effort to draw the training closer to actual situations and operations. Study of the preparedness of the Volunteer Fire Brigade of the Municipalities (VFBM) in the Liberec Region to fulfill the tasks of protecting the population.

This thesis is focused on mapping and conducting training of members of units destined to fulfill the tasks of population protection. The research questions sought two answers: in the Liberec Region, fire protection units are predestined to solve the tasks of population protection, and if they are members of these units have the professional competence to perform these activities. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part is describe the protection of the population and its development in the Czech Republic. It is described below the organization of fire protection in the Czech Republic, their tasks with emphasis on the predestination of fire protection units, the implementation of basic training and gaining professional competence of members of the units of voluntary fire brigades of municipalities according to currently valid legal regulations. The thesis aims to answer questions relating to the level of the the implementation basic and cyclical training is provided and in accordance with the research question asses the level the professional competence of the members of the fire protection units for protection of population and design proficiency enhacement procedures
Comparison of knowledges of members of volunteer fire brigades in the Vimperk municipality at theories and methods during emergencies

This thesis deals with the comparison of the knowledge of members of the units of volunteer fire brigades in the Vimperk municipality with extended jurisdiction, in the field of theory and procedures in emergencies. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the state of knowledge of volunteer fire brigade unit members in Vimperk in the field of theory and procedures in emergencies, and then to compare the knowledge between members who hold different positions. In order to achieve these objectives, hypotheses needed to be established. H1: The knowledge of volunteer fire brigade unit members in the Vimperk municipality in the field of theory and procedures in emergencies reaches at least 80%. And H2: The function in volunteer fire brigade units in the Vimperk municipality has an impact on knowledge in the field of theory and procedures in emergencies. In order to achieve the set objectives and verify the hypotheses, a questionnaire survey was conducted and the results were subsequently evaluated using statistical methods. The questionnaire contained 27 questions, two of which were informative. The research sample consisted of 158 volunteer fire brigade unit members operating in Vimperk municipality with extended jurisdiction. The results of the questionnaire survey show that the knowledge of the members reaches to the specified level of 80%. It was also found that the position that members hold in the unit has an impact on their knowledge. Both hypotheses were accepted according to the results obtained. The contribution of the thesis is mainly the obtained overview of the knowledge of volunteer fire brigade members in Vimperk municipality. The obtained results can be used for the needs of the South Bohemian Fire Brigade.
Professional competence of members of units of voluntary fire brigades of municipalities in the district of České Budějovice

This diploma thesis provides an overview of the issue of voluntary fire brigade units in municipalities. Its main focus is on the training of members of the units and the professional competence of commanders and engineers of the voluntary fire brigade units of municipalities. The first part of this thesis brings the basic legislative overview. The structure of the units is described in relation to the area coverage by fire brigade units and the concept of operability is mentioned in the following parts. The voluntary fire brigade unit is also described. By the conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to professional training and professional competence. The practical part is focused on the level of knowledge of all members of the voluntary fire brigade units. The diploma thesis also points to professional training and professional competence in terms of scope, and whether this expertise is realized in the units at all. The evaluation takes place in the form of a questionnaire survey and test questions at voluntery fire brigade units from the district of České Budějovice. These are respondents from among the commanders of the JPO III and V categories, engineers of the JPO III category and firefighters of the JPO III and V categories, in the total number of 150 respondents. Based on the correct answers from the questionnaire, the average level of knowledge for individual functions and also the level of knowledge of all respondents is determined. As a results of this survey and also from the results of the SWOT analysis, a solution is proposed leading to an increase in the quality of professional knowledge. By comparing the evaluated open questions from the second part of the questionnaire and the SWOT analysis, the scope of the performed training and competence in the units is determined. The fact of training and professional competence in accordance with legal regulations is also determine. The outcome of this survey should be used as a tool to set changes that should lead to more efficient training and professional competence.
Awareness and readiness of fire protection units

The Bachelor thesis solves the problem knowledge of third category of Fire rescue units in the territory of the Pilsen region, ie their knowledge of vocational training. The task was to find out if the knowledge of the training is at a sufficient level. The data was obtained through a questionnaire survey, which was attended by a total of 104 respondents from the third category of Fire Rescue Units in the Pilsen Region. This survey was conducted from April to June 2018. The questionnaire was distributed in printed form (Appendix 1) to prevent possible search of information on the internet. The questionnaire was conceived in six thematic areas according to the basic training that each member must pass before joining the unit. The aim of the thesis was "To assess the current state of awareness of third category of Fire rescue in the territory of the Pilsen Region". Here the hypothesis was set: "The awareness of the third category of Fire rescue units in the territory of the Pilsen region does not reach 75%." The results, which are shown in Table 19, show the awareness is below 75%. Therefore, we accept a zero hypothesis. From the results of the work it is clear that the knowledge of training in the Third Category of Fire rescue units in the Pilsen Region is very low. It is necessary to modify the training system and to find ways to ensure that members have sufficient knowledge to carry out activities in the Corps of Volunteer Firemen of the municipality. These results can be used to improve of the training.
Educational Needs of Pastors at Church of the Brethren

This bachelor's thesis aims to analyse the educational needs of the pastors in the Church of the Bretheren denomination in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into four chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the situation and position of churches in the Czech republic. Later in the chapter the Church of the Bretheren is introduced. Chapter 2 describes the job title of pastor in the Church of the Bretheren, the pastor's roles, rights and duties and pastor's job desription. In the chapter is a proposal of the pastor's needed competencies. Chapter 3 presents existing opportunities for education for pastors. Also in Chapter 3, study plans of chosen educational institutions are analysed and compared with proposed competencies. The third chapter leads to chapter 4 which contents an analysis of the educational needs of the pastors at the Church of the Bretheren. The aim of this analysis is to identify the existing educational needs and to find out how these educational needs were fulfilled during the internal church preparatory vicar program.
