1 Pacta Sunt Servanda in Recent Civil Law Abstract The thesis deals with the brocard of pacta sunt servanda and its application in the current Czech civil law. After a brief explanation of the historical circumstances and a concise description of the historical development of private law in Czechia, the first chapter outlines the establishment and the practical confirmation of the pacta sunt servanda principle in the judicial rulings of the Czech Constitutional Court after year 1990. The second chapter analyzes the natural law doctrines that have informed the authors of the Civil Code in drafting the law, including the principle of pacta sunt servanda. The third chapter of the thesis reviews the practical expression of the principle that agreements must be kept, and promises are binding in the applicable provisions of the Civil Code. The freedom of contract is one of the essential tenets of the private law, which gives parties freedom to decide whether to enter into a contract, with whom and the freedom to decide (acting in mutual respect of the equal autonomy of the persons involved) about the contents of the contract. Sources of obligations in Roman law

The text discusses the sources of obligations in Roman law. In the preface the term of obligation and its typical sources is analysed. Further in the text, development of law of obliations from the primitive obligation to the classical one is outlined and the difference between civil and praetorian obligations is also explained. The subsequent text is divided into chapters concerning particular sources of obligation, that is contracts, delicts and variae causarum figurae. This part is followed by a chapter about natural obligations and a comparison with the modern law, which aims to indicate the extent to which the Czech legal system has been influenced by Roman law. The conclusion offers a summary of key findings.

This bachelor's thesis analyzes possibillities of using application Wolfram Alpha in financial mathematics. The work presents selected products created by Wolfram Research. Readers get to know the interface of Wolfram Alpha. Theoretical part of the work introduces the readers to the matters of financial mathematics. The work shows general use of Wolfram Alpha for financnial mathematics. Practical part deals with selected examples of financial mathematics and theirs solutions in Wolfram Alpha. Partial aim of this thesis is to create paper, which can be used as support for teachers of finan-cial mathematics.

Práce se zabývá problematikou vysoce výnosových dluhopisů. Popisuje americký trh vysoce výnosových dluhopisů z hlediska jeho historie a klíčových charakteristik (rozsahu, výnosů a segmentace) a odvozuje oceňovací modely. Praktickou část práce tvoří jednak analýza růstu tržního podílu rizikových bondů s využitím Bassova modelu, kdy je na tyto instrumetny nahlíženo jako na finanční inovaci. Druhá analýza se zabývá zkoumáním vztahu mezi kreditním rizikem, vyjádřeném v podobě defaultní míry, a očekávanými, resp. dosahovanými výnosovými mírami.
