Sports event management - Princeton-Blairstown Center

Title: Sports event management - Princeton-Blairstown Center Objectives: The aim of this work is on the basis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to propose particular arrangement that would improve organization of Princeton-Blairstown Center in following years. Methods: Case analysis was used as the main research method. In preparation of this analysis participant observation, document analysis, semi-structured and unstructured interviews were applied. On the basis of these methods SWOT analysis was developed, which shows the strengths and weaknesses Results: The analysis showed that the Princeton - Blairstown Center was very well organized event with small issues. The camp is associated organization to Princeton University, camp gains part of the funding from the university or its foundations. The advantages of Princeton - Blairstown Center are mainly a high ropes course, a unique environment and area and because of these advantages camp has increasing number of participants every year. For the following years, it is very important to keep a good relationship with the university, take care of the site, keep the lake in good condition, try to find sponsors and improve promotion of Princeton - Blairstown Center. The System of Management and Competitiveness of a Small Business

This bachelor thesis deals with the system of management and competitiveness of a small business. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate these areas and suggest its improvements. This thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. Characterized terms like small business management system and competitiveness are situated in the theoretical part. For the practical part of this thesis was chosen interior center "Zdravé pohodlíčko", Ltd. in Jindřichův Hradec. The selected firm is analyzed in terms like management and competitiveness by using methods like no structured interview with the store owner, Porter's model of five forces and analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. and a questionnaire based survey. There are identified and characterized three companies in the competitiveness analysis, which are considered as its competitors This section is followed by comparison of these competitors with the analyzed company. The management system in the analyzed company is divided into employee management, customer relationship management, supply management and businessman time. Ecology, innovation and human resources like important competitive advantage, are listed in the competitiveness section. The results of this thesis are proposals on management and competitiveness. These proposals can become an inspiration for the owner of the observed business. The system of management has been proposed by a change in employees rewarding, to take a temporary worker, sale of stocks of goods and proper time planning of businessman. The competitiveness has been proposed by customer satisfaction surveys, to have an overview of the competition, negotiation of certain terms with suppliers, retail should have responsible and trained staff, opportunity to apply modern trend housing in this retail (ecology and health of the population) and retail should prepare a schedule of activities when the potential competitors enter the market.
Analysis of perception of gender roles

Masters thesis "Analysis of perception of gender roles" describes opinions of current society on status of men and women. The objective of the diploma thesis is to gain information about how people perceive gender roles and gender stereotypes. It is very important to discover whether today society still follow gender stereotypes. The theoretical part focuses on description of gender history from period of industry revolution to the present. Furthermore, it defines and deeply describes gender roles and stereotypes and indicates results of several researches that focused on gender issue. The empirical part analyses results of questionnaire survey which was discovering perception of gender roles on a conscious level of human. Second part of the empirical analysis, unstructured interviews and projective techniques, such as test of unfinished sentences and implicit association test, which examined perspectives on this issue in relation to subconsciousness. The conclusion evaluates and compares results of each method used in this paper and deduces verdicts specifically attitudes of current society.
