When the health care of the patient becomes
PALIČKOVÁ, Pavla
The theoretical part is divided into five further parts. The first part is focused on the concept of health, definition of health which was constantly changing and also characterization of four various views on the concept of health. The second part will explain the concept of disease, the burden of disease and nurse's and patient's attitudes toward the disease will be discussed. The third part contains characteristics of the patient, their role, personal qualities and their shift in how they experience of the disease and how they act. The fourth part is focused on the nurse as such. It describes the role of doctor, nurse and care worker in patient's position. The fifth and last part is dedicated to hospitalization. Here we can find relationship between a patient and a nurse in hospitalization. This goes with explaining the importance of conversation and its role during hospitalization. The last sub-chapter of this part covers adaptation to the hospital environment and concludes the theoretical part of this thesis. The aim of this work was to 1. Find out about the view of one's own experienced hospitalization. 2. Find out how nurse's personal qualities have been affected by hospitalization. 3. Find out whether the hospitalization has affected their further job performance. The research part of this thesis was carried out using the method of qualitative survey. Data were collected with the help of semi structured interview. In the beginning of the interview, each respondent was assured that her identity will remain anonymous and that all the information acquired will be used only for this bachelor thesis. The survey was carried out in the respondents' privacy. The research showed that hospitalization experience is different between nurses in the role of patient and "ordinary" patients.Nurses as patients have higher expectations for example towards nursing service or providing information on their health condition. That is given by their medical background. On the other hand, it turns out that their education prevents them from embracing the role of patient and ask more questions. We can therefore say that the nurse/patient is in a way a really demanding client for the medical staff. The research has revealed that it cannot be definitely stated that medical education has significant influence on providing information on health condition. The research has further shown that respondents had no issues with attractiveness and equipment of the department. Early waking up for taking the patients temperature was perceived as negative. The research shown that, in terms of providing assistance in self-care, the personnel was very helpful, attentive, kind and saw "no issues".Further part of the research investigation was to determine how the health nurse/patient's hospitalization affected them on a personal level. What changes affect the nurse's professional attitude towards the patient after having personal experience as a patient and how they will use the experience in their professional performance. The results show that the respondents are trying to contemplate on their hospitalization experience. The results have also shown that the respondents tend to change their attitude mostly on the basis of unprofessional attitude on the part of medical personnel. In spite of this fact, nine respondents managed not only to think about their professional weaknesses but were also able to make use of the negative hospitalization experience for further development and improvement as for their professional performance. This thesis provides an insight of a nurse in the role of patient in hospitalization focused on the behaviour of nurses and their carer's approach towards patients. As the results have shown that the most problematic part was obtaining and providing information, I propose a seminar focused on the topic of how to learn relevant communication skills.

Second goal was focussed on whether gipsy women follow conventions of healthy lifestyle. Two experimental questions were asked: How are gipsy women informed about healthy lifestyle from midwife? And how the gipsy women keep healthy lifestyle? In practical part of this bachelor work the qualitative method was used. Data gathering was executed by the individualized talks. Basis of the talk were sets of prepared questions which helped with simplification of processing of answers. Questions were focused on healthy lifestyle. Respondents could explain their opinion on the theme. Experimental set was formed of 5 gipsy women from 18 to 55 years living on different places of the Czech Republic and 5 midwifes working in gynaecological attendances. The talks proceeded on before appointed places where the women had enough privacy to express their opinion. Before talking the respondents have had a possibility to sign Application agreement of cooperation in which was guaranteed anonymity of data. Before this agreement they were also informed about using these talks for needs of bachelor work. This request all women underwrote. Talks were recorded to the Dictaphone and consequently wrote. On base of the gathering information were formed main categories and subcategories by the help of colouring of the text. In experimental investigation of gipsy women were determined two major categories. First category - gipsy women lifestyle and within there were determined subcategories: diet, free time, drugs, stress and intimate hygiene. Second major category - knowledge of gipsy women included subcategories: prevention, sex, contraception, received information and source of education. During processing results in experimental investigation with midwives was determined one major category: Education of gipsy women that includes subcategories: diet, physical activities, drugs, intimate hygiene, sex, contraception, prevention and way of education. In results of the research are recorded answers of gipsy women to questions about healthy lifestyle as well as answers of midwives how do they teach gipsy women about it. Bachelor work pointed where gipsy women have got not enough information. Their lack of information often causes that the gipsy women are unknowingly exposed to risk behaviour that has negative influence on human organism. They are not well informed about dealing with contraception, intimate hygiene, prevention before sexually illness as well as prevention of breast carcinoma. On the other side gipsy women have sufficient information in the area of pregnancy interruption. Mostly it is because they have their own experiences with it. Results of this investigation show that gypsy women don't keep on healthy lifestyle. From the answers of midwives results on which theme of healthy lifestyle they should focused on during their education. They should force on education of healthy diet, physical activities, relaxation, sleeping. They also should inform gipsy women about prevention of large intestine cancer. The results show that there is no feedback because answers of women and midwives were different in many ways.

Volná, Šárka
The aim of this thesis is to describe the evolution of foals (until the age of two); their anatomy, as well as the state of their mental being. I will outline the behavior of the foal after the birth and the importance of colostrum. Since health plays an important role not only in life of foals, I will introduce some common diseases that can affect the foals, and I will explain not only how to cure them, but primarily how to prevent them. It is necessary to take a good care of foals even if they are completely healthyone should provide them with enough nutrition and vitamins, vaccinate them regularly and deprive them from warms. It is also crucial to train them so that, once mature, they do not surprise us with abundance of strength and energy. The major purpose of this thesis is to find out in what environment and condi-tions foals generally prosper the best.

The "burn out "syndrom is the state of a physical, emotional and psychical exhaustion. There is a relatively big danger of the "burn out"syndrom emergence by the paramedics and that is why there should be given a big stress to its prevention. The aim of this bachelor´s work was to find out if there is a bigger "burn out" syndrom by the paramedics than by hospital paramedics. The next aim was to find out the influence of the practice´ lenght and of the workfalling in to the psychical point of view to the paramedics. It was used the investigation of quantity through the standartised quostionnaire to find out the "burn out" level. We created a quostionnaire that contained 11 questions to find out if the paramedics have the prevention against the "burn out" syndrom. The standartised questonnaire MBI was evaluated in the area of the South Bohemian region through the charts and graphs. It was found that the hospital paramedics are more inclinating to the "burn out" syndrom than the ambulance service paramedics. Followingly the investigation, there is a bigger risk of "burn out" syndrom by paramedics with the longer practice. The most of the paramedics try to prevent the "burn out" syndrom but the prevention didn´t appear to be efficient in comparison to the number of "burn out" paramedics.
Infection risks of nursers at the inpatient wards
KUČÍRKOVÁ, Alena
Theoretical backround Working as a nurse is one the most human jobs, by serving to people, taking care and preserve health of a human, which is considered to be the highest value of human life for centuries. The aim of nurses is to take care of a human, to mitigate his or her symptoms and to comfort the life till its end if there is no possibility for full recovery. While they do previously described most of them are not aware of a need to take into account also their own health and especially protection against all dangerous microbes. In my bachelor thesis I analyse infection diseases sometimes also called occupational infections which are the most dangerous for nurses. All occupational infections are stated here together with their descriptions. In following parts of this thesis there are hygiene requirements on the workspace and finally in the last section hygienic-epidemic actions in a health care system are described. Objectives of this thesis Objective 1 Determine whether nurses comply with preventive actions against risks of infections. Objective 2 Determine whether nurses know risks of infections at patients departments. Objective 3 Determine whether nurses know how to defend their spread. Research questions Research Question 1: How do nurses protect themselves against risks of infections? Research Question 2: What information do nurses have about risks of infections in health care system? Research Question 3: In which way do nurses prevent the spread of infection to a de- partment? Methodology The bachelor thesis presents a qualitative research. Methods and techniques of a data collection, which we used in the work were participant observation and semi-structured interviews. The survey was carried out with 6 respondents in anesthesiology and resuscitation departments, surgical and internal intensive care units and intermediate care unit at Nemocnice České Budějvice a.s. The research method of an active observation was used during the survey. We observed certain facts that were recorded during the observation to a observation sheet (Appendix 4) and then transcribed and analysed. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews. The interview was conducted with the same respondents who were observed and recorded in a written form and then overwritten (Appendix 6). Results The results of the observations in the research study showed that nurses unfortunately do not comply with barrier nursing techniques as much as they should. The only thing that they fully comply with the overall finish, wear prescribed clothing and collection of biological material according to hygienic principles. Worse situation was in the using of protective equipment, disinfection and hand washing and eating food, where it did not comply 100%. In the next part of the research we focused on interviews with the observed respondents, the purpose was to find things that could not be identified by the only observing. The results showed that nurses do not even have much theoretical knowledge as regards to a occupational infection, or an injury treatment procedure when infected by an object. Conclusion The survey showed that while most nurses have a clue about good practices and knowledge of the occupational infections and hygienic-epidemiological measures ,but unfortunately theory is different from practice in which these things too oblivious. It emerged that unfortunately practice is different than the theory that we learn at universities and colleges.
