Assessing the impact of attendance on the selected caves using GIS

Caves are valuable sites from geological , palaeontological and biological point of view. They are important biotopes of rare and endangered species. Their ecosystem is quite specific and often very independent on environment. Therefore, the caves since the beginning of science have been the subject of research , and gradually also the subject of protection. Caves can also be very attractive objects of interest of tourism. In the Czech Republic there are 14 open to the public karst caves that have regulated attendance, and their access time is subordinated to the interests of nature conservation. On the other hand, there are also a number of caves that are not secured in any way and may be a target of unregulated tourism. This dissertation discusses the evaluation and the impact of attendance on non-karst caves in the National Nature Reserve Canyon Labe, which are freely accessible. I divided the work into three parts. In the first part I dealt with quantifying the attendance of all caves in the area of interest, On the basis of collected data, I made a selection of caves , which I later focused on. Origin, Development, and Selected Impacts of the Tourism on the U.S. National Parks 1980-2009 The development of tourism in the National Parks of USA based on the statistics from the years of 1980 to 2009 is examined in the thesis. The main source of information is the statistics of US National Parks taken from the NPS, United States Census Bureau, Bureau of Economic Analysis and Bureau of Labor Statistics. There are emphasizes there the quantitative changes in the visitation and variance of values at selected economic indicators, that were observed in the mentioned period of time. The data is evaluated at the federal, regional and state levels. The progress, current situation and forecast of future visitation of landscapes under control of NSP are examined in the thesis. Moreover, the thesis contains comparison of the development of tourism in the other subjects, the most important of which are the State Parks of USA and other agencies responsible for the administration of the recreational used federal land. Selected Input-Output models counted economic impact of tourism in the national parks, as well as the factors that influence development and allocation of tourists captured through the concept of Tourism Area Life Cycle can be also found in the thesis. The impact of paywall introduction for the IHNED.cz news website

This diploma thesis summarises the development of paid content of ihned.cz, on-line news server of the Czech economic daily Hospodářské noviny. It observes the influence of paywall from August 2014 until April 2015. The aim of the implementation of paywall was to show that the content created on the server was valuable. The theoretical part deals with new challenges media face, including economic and technological changes; it describes the rise of commercialization and media reaction, and solution for these changes in the form of convergence and digital-first concept. The diploma thesis is viewed through the political economy of media approach. It focuses on monetization of content, the willingness of readers to pay for on-line news, traditional and alternative revenues of media, and it describes the examples of implemented paywall in other media. In the practical part, the thesis describes how paywall influenced economic revenues, specifically the digital subscription, advertising and financial results of the publisher Economia, which is providing the server ihned.cz. Title: Evaluation of czech football stadiums in spectator`s view Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to evaluate selected football stadiums in spectator`s view and on the basis of gained results suggest possibilities of improvement. Methods: At first I selected criteria, that fan interferes from the time he leaves home, till he walks away from stadium. Then I marked these criteria for every stadium. THE ISSUES IN METHODOLOGY AND DATA INTERPRETATION IN STUDIES OF TOURIST ATTRACTIONS' ATTENDANCE Lukáš Nekolný Abstract Attendance belongs to the main quantitative indicators of tourism which is one of the most important sectors of human activites. Knowledge about number of visitors has substantiation in scientific research and in destination management. In this case it is essential to combine the sustainability and the economic benefits. The number of visitors (visits) is important regarding to education and media. Therefore the use of comparable methodology is appropriate before interpretation of corresponding data. The aims of this thesis after analysing methodologic risk issues are to create the recommendation and to compare data of tourist attractions. The main points of recommendation we can mark are to compare individual attractions regardless of the ownership structure and to separate counting of tour routes and counting of visitor numbers with season tickets without distorted coefficients.
