Spider diversity research in relation to habitat conservation management.
Krajíčková, Kateřina ; Opatová, Věra (advisor) ; Dolejš, Petr (referee)
Spiders are a cosmopolitan and highly diversified group of invertebrates that play a very important role in the ecosystem. Thanks to their ubiquity in anthropogenic and economic ecosystems, we can consider them a suitable group that can be used for biological protection needs. Spider venoms and their silks also have potential uses in biotechnology in the future. Today, however, spiders face many threatening factors, including climate change, habitat loss, pesticides, acid rain, and other introduced invertebrate species. Spider conservation is currently addressed in several ways, using regional instruments such as the Bern Convention, the Habitat Directive and the IUCN Red List of Endangered Species. However, in the EU in particular, there is a lack of efforts to protect them not only in terms of evaluation but also in terms of regional and national legislation. However, the fact that they may be located in protected areas, such as national parks or protected landscape areas, also helps to protect them, which greatly helps to maintain their diversity. The biggest obstacle to spider protection is the lack of public support, which can be linked to ignorance and concern. These concerns could theoretically be addressed by pointing out that very few spider species pose a threat to humans and by educating...
Zhodnocení efektivity regulačních nástrojů upravujících odnímání půdy ze zemědělského půdního fondu
Velanová, Lucie
Landscape cultivation and the Agricultural Land Fund management are important for land and environment. I have dealt with the issue of the regulatory tools of the exemption of land from Agricultural Land Fund. I tried to create a complex view on this problematic. I deal with the common introduction, analysis of the contemporary legislation, dismantling of individual groups of tools and also practical analysis of specific examples. I suggested some possible adjustments and changes to improve the contemporary situation. I suggested changes to protect the nature and preserve the natural values.
Legal tools for the protection of clean water
Lýsek, Lukáš ; Sobotka, Michal (advisor) ; Žákovská, Karolina (referee)
Legal instruments of the protection of water quality - Abstract The purpose of my thesis is to analyse a system of legal instruments of protection of quality ground and surface water. The reason for my research is fact that quality of water has an impact not only on every human being but also on the whole planet Earth because there is no life without it. The thesis is composed of six parts - introduction, four main chapters and conclusion, each of them dealing with different aspects of water protection. Short introduction outlines total amount of water and main problems lie with the actual amount of fresh water and quality of this water. Chapter One defines major sources of pollution which are point, non-point and emergency sources of pollution. The next two parts of this chapter contain actual state of quality both surface and ground water in Czech Republic. Chapter Two concentrate on relevant international, European and Czech legislation in water protection. The chapter consists of three parts. Part One focuses on international law which is based on bilateral and multilateral treaties. Part Two investigates the European Union water law with focusing on primary and secondary sources of law. Part Three looks at Czech water law. Chapter Three is subdivided into two parts and provides an outline of main aims...
Legal regime applicable to land in the protected areas and protective zones
Hrazdilová, Dana ; Žákovská, Karolina (advisor) ; Stejskal, Vojtěch (referee)
Legal regime applicable to land in the protected areas and protective zones The aim of my thesis is to analyse the legal regime, which is applied to the protected areas and protective zones. Both institutes can be grouped among the environment protection instruments. They are also applied to the protection of other objects (e.g., water mains, cultural monuments, electric communications), especially they are applied to the protected areas. They are universal instruments because they are used in various branches of law. To achieve the objective, which is to establish the protected areas and protective zones, limitation of property rights to the respective immovables happen. The level of regulation is not always the same. Particular limitations are various and they are contained either directly in a respective act or in a regulation, which establishes a protected area or protective zone, or they are mentioned in both legal enactments. They can be formed as restrictions of particular activities with the possibility of making an exception (there are also absolute restrictions, in this case no exceptions can be made) or as activities, which can be performed only when they are approved by a respective authority. Most often the limitations happen in the field of farming and building activities. In my...

Analýza podmínek pro vynětí půdy ze zemědělského půdního fondu
Koudelka, Martin
Landscape cultivation and the Agricultural Land Fund management are important fundaments of sustainable development. Therefore I have dealt with the issue of the analysis of conditions of the exemption of land from the Agricultural Land Fund. I tried to create a complex view on this problematic. I dealt with the common introduction, analysis of the contemporary legislation and also practical analysis of specific examples in comparison with the preceding legislation. I suggested some possible adjustments and changes to improve the contemporary situation. I pointed out the bad condition of the environment and legal changes. I suggested changes to protect the nature and preserve the natural values.
