Foster care a temporary period

The diploma thesis is focused on the topic of foster care for temporary period. It is the most recent form of substitutional family care in our legal system. It was enacted in 2006 as an intended alternative to infant care institutions. The topic is analysed mainly with respect to current Czech legislation, but the thesis also offers comparison with foreign experience with this institution - specifically with legislation in Great Britain. The thesis is divided into theoretical part and practical part - contained in the last chapter consisting of paraphrased interviews with people who are involved with foster care for temporary period in their profession. The beginning of the thesis summarises the historical background of substitutional care of a child with focus on foster care. The development of foster care is mapped from its very beginning in ancient Greece and Rome up till the recent process of reformation of substitutional family care crowned by the extensive legislative changes, which came into force on 1st January 2014. The second chapter deals with the current internal, EU as well as international legislation of temporary foster care. At this point the thesis also points out the relevant judicature of European Court of Human Rights and analyses the decision-making practise of the Czech...

The work of a psychologist in facilities for children requiring immediate help

The aim of this thesis is to map the work of a psychologist in facilities for children requiring immediate help (FCRIH). The partial aim of the thesis is to compare the work of a psychologist in FCRIH with the work of a psychologist in school facilities of institutional and protective care. In the theoretical part the thesis deals with the system of alternative care for children and describes the various forms of care. After that the theoretical part focuses on FCRIH itself, especially the legislative framework of these facilities. The following chapter is focused on children in FCRIH and thus defines the work of a psychologist in these facilities in terms of the content of his work. The last chapter of the theoretical part focuses on psychological care in FCRIH and school facilities of institutional and protective care in order to compare them. The practical part was processed qualitatively through online questionnaires for directors and psychologist of FCRIH and subsequently semi-structured interviews with FCRIH psychologists were conducted. Registered partnership and its influence on the formation of families

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to define the issue of the registered partnership of homosexuals, including the problems related to the issue, focusing on the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is devoted to homosexuality, followed by registered partnership itself including the process of legislative formation of the registered partnership law and rights and obligations among partners in the Czech Republic. The part also deals with models of registered partnerships in the European Union and the opportunities offered to registered partners in terms of child care. The practical part deals with the processing and evaluation the data, obtained through a questionnaire survey. Chi-square analysis of the independence test for the four-pane table was used in addition to descriptive data analysis. The practical part of the thesis also deals with the data evaluation from the 2011 Population and Housing Census and the data provided by the Gay Initiative web portal.
