Christian education in pre-primary education in the Kingdom of Spain

The aim of this diploma thesis was to investigate the position of Christian education in preschool education in Spain and how it is practically applied in preschool facilities. Theoretical part deals with Spanish education system, education of religion in European context, educational legislation with an emphasis on religion and its connection with Spanish state, the specifics of teaching of religion and teacher qualification requirements. The practical part aimed to translate and analyse the content of the Curriculum for the religious area and catholic morality in preschool education. This analysis found out that teaching of religion is a unique way to naturally connect several different educational areas. The second part of the research consisted of case studies of four preschools, two catholic and two public. The characteristics of the visited schools, observations of lessons of religion and three teaching materials were analysed and compared. There were observable similarities and differences between visited catholic and public schools, for example in the way the school presented itself or in the ratio of the number of students attending Religion lessons to Ethics lessons. Gift of Life. In Response to Derrida's Gift of Death.

The presented philosophical-anthropological interpretation seeks to examine the issue of existential transformation and its understanding in the works of selected authors, in particular Jacques Derrida, Jan Patočka and Søren Kierkegaard. It builds upon a specific interpretation of philosophy as a source of normative images that determine the ways of man's self- understanding. From the perspective of philosophical anthropology, "being human" is the result of man's being interested in his own being. Thus it definitely cannot be considered an innate quality. Man's "humanness" is conditioned by his strive to live a truthful life. Hence, the focus of the interpretation is on the relation between the tradition and the individual sense- making as well as on the motives of death and mortality, constitution of individuality, responsability, interiority, faith and transformation.

Unamuno's religion (in reference to the Tragic sense of life and Saint Manuel Good, martyr)

(in English): Religion has an important role in the work of Miguel de Unamuno. This bachelor thesis deals with Unamuno's understanding of religion, mainly in works The Tragic Sense of Life in Men and Nations and in Saint Emmanuel the Good, Martyr. In thesis is present description of theoretical conception of Unamuno's religion, which is based on terms as inmortality of human soul, struggle between reason and faith and faith creating God as it's object. In my work is also mentioned a conception of religion in Unamuno's narrative work, Saint Emmanuel the Good, which is compared to theoretical ideas contained in The Tragic Sense of Life. The religion is pointed up as a connecting element between Unamuno's theoretical (or essayist) work and his narrative work. Emphasis is placed also on an importance of author's personal experience with religion. In thesis is also included a brief description of thinking of few philosophers and thinkers, which influenced on Unamuno or they had similar religious opinions as he did. In thesis is pointed up either parallelism or difference between opinions of Unamuno and these thinkers. There is a little space dedicated to The First Vatican Council, which introduced into catholic doctrine several important doctrines, which were critized by Unamuno.

Political philosophy of Lord Acton and its influence on the political thought of 20th century

The Bachelor thesis presented here is concerned with the political philosophy of British historian Lord Acton and its influence on the political thought of 20th century. The aim of the thesis was to present Actons political thought in the environment of 19th century Britain and to show its influence on the political thought of 20th century. Actons political philosophy was concerned with many problems of Victorian age and his philosophy deals with many contemporary and historical issues. Because of this, I had to put emphasis only on some aspects of Actons political thought. Mainly on the theoretical fusion of Catholicism and Liberalism. The thesis is divided into three parts: In the first part I present Actons conception of liberty. Through the term of liberty I try to show the basis of his liberal philosophy. Every attempt to systematize Actons philosophy must start mainly with this term of liberty, because it was central in his thinking. Also his understanding of the word liberty is one of the things that distinguishes Acton from other thinkers, because it implicitly contains main premises of ethical teachings of the church.
