A universal milling machine with the 4th axis controlled by a divider
Chladil, Jan ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with types and facilities of applying the dividing head on the universal milling machines. Basic types of milling machines and ways of dividing are introduced. The topic includes types of cutting tools which are often used together with the dividing head and the universal milling machine. Appropriate cases in which it is possible to use the dividing head these days are presented, sometimes in connection with computer numerical control machines. The process of angular rotation of a workpiece is illustrated on a shaft during production of straight-sided splines on the universal milling machine.

Horák, Michal ; Omes, Jiří (referee) ; Dokoupil, Vladimír (advisor)
The thesis deals with choosing the appropriate conception for a 3D CNC machining module, design, and construction of the given machine. This work is laid out into several parts that deal with automated production assemblies, appropriate construction alternate design, design of the selected machining module, and FEM method.
Application CAD/CAM software hyperMILL for machining
Šebesta, Vít ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The main aim of this thesis is to acquire basic knowledge of CAM program hyperMILL 2019 with comparison of the ball nose end mill and circle segment end mill with taper form, economical evaluation and than make force analysis of specimen from aluminium alloy by milling with spindle moulder. Another aim of this thesis is also an analysis of force effects and force directions of the milling tool, advantages by using the circle segment end mill with taper form, the most common types of aluminium alloys and their mechanical properties and next comparison of CAM program hyperMILL with other selected program in the theoretic part.
Využití půdních rotačních fréz s horizontální osou rotace v zemědělství a lesnictví
NĚMEČKOVÁ, Michaela
The aim of the work was to verify the performance and design working quality performance of rotary milling machines with horizontal axis of rotation in artificial forest regeneration, support of natural forest regeneration in selected forest stands and in agriculture with different soil and terrain conditions. The measurement was carried out on four different carrier cutters, each machine carrying a different soil milling machine. Measurements took place in various environments as well as soil types, crops or quality requirements for the work performed. In this work are compared performance of given carriers, in terms of aggregation with individual models of milling machines. The tables show the most important parameters such as average fuel consumption, average area efficiency and fuel consumption to area efficiency. Furthermore, there is an evaluation of the quality of the work done.
Design of the PKD cutting edge cutter
Křehlík, Luboš ; Trčka, Tomáš (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design, construction, production and testing of cutters with polycrystalline diamond cutting edges. Polycrystalline diamond is a suitable cutting material for machining very abrasive materials such as aluminum alloys or composite materials. The design of the tool is focused on the application of the chip breaker on the front of the tool. The aim of the solution is to reduce the cutting force in the machining of the aluminum alloy used in the aerospace industry. The first part of the thesis deals with problems related to milling technology. The practical part describes the design and construction of prototype cutting tools. Three tools were designed for experimental measurement. The technology of cutting tools made from super hardened cutting materials with laser technology is presented. The experimental part of the thesis is a measurement of the cutting force according to cutting parameters and machined material.
Rationalization of the workpiece technology part with the aim to reduce costs
Vojtěch, Jakub ; Strejček, Jan (referee) ; Chladil, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the improvement of the production technology during machining of the given component. The main goal is to design a different production technology, to reduce production time terms using more appropriate tools and to reduce the total costs of machining.
Proposal of new clamping system of inserts for wood milling tools
Vančura, Tomáš ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The work presented in this thesis has been dealt with issues of clamping systems of indexable inserts of woodworking milling tools. The aim of this thesis is to design new clamping system of indexable inserts according to the request of company Vydona, Ltd. The work has been divided into three chapters. Chapter 1 deals with characteristic of wood milling process. It has aimed to create a basic view at main parameters which are influencing clamping system of indexable inserts. Chapter 2 has been a literature search of existing clamping systems used in timber industry. The last chapter has been aimed to design of clamping system for pre-cut indexable insert.
Model of surface profile after milling operation with plain milling cutter
Horváth, Ľudovít ; Kubík, Roman (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
In the teoretical part of the master´s thesis, the master´s thesis deals with milling and surface profile describing. In the practical part, the master´s thesis deal with model of surface profile after milling operation with plain milling cetter. For evalution were used data obtained from the computer model of the surface profil and data obtained from measuring the actual surface profil, which was created by machining the material mills with a diameter of 45 mm.
On the cutting performance analysis of milling tools for a selected application.
Němeček, Lukáš ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis is devided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with types of milling, the choice of the cutters, choice of material of exchangeable cutting plates and also with types of wear and their classification. The second part of the thesis deals with experiments where the power load of the tool was measured. The observed data were processed and graphs of power load were created by software. Conclusions are based on these graphs.
Application of PVD coatings for milling
Matuška, Martin ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This dissertation treats of the influence of PVD coats to a change of tool lifetime. The theoretical part of the dissertation describes the adjustment of tools before the process of coating. Following part describes the specific properties of deposited layers of the coating and its measuring. There is also the enumeration and specification of selected ways of depositing PVD coats and brief description of its advantages and disadvantages. Second part of the dissertation is focused on an experiment with measuring of the tool force loading and its change depending to the tool wear. There are compared four short four-edged milling cutters with a coat and as well without it. Those tools were made of high speed steel by the conventional way and also by the powder metallurgy. Milling operation was done by down and up milling technique. The evaluation of the experimental results for powder metallurgy tools confirmed that these tools are advantageous compared to the standard high speed steel tools.
