The Use of Methods of the Project Management in Company
Herman, Jaromír ; Petráš, Miroslav (referee) ; Smolíková, Lenka (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with an analysis and detailed description of a particular IT company's project lifecycle, its evaluation and an improvement plan implementation. Theoretical part of the thesis contains methods of the project management which are further used in the planning part of the thesis. This is followed by an analysis of the current state of the technical facilities of the customer's company, and a market analysis of the company. The main part of this thesis is focused on describing the solution for migration of existing terminal farms of the customer to the cloud datacenters of the new provider of terminal services, using appropriate methods and tools of project management. The project's benefits for the company are listed in the conclusion.
Genetic Algorithms - Multi-core CPU Implementation
Studnička, Vladimír ; Kuba, Martin (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
his diploma thesis deals with creating the most universal library of genetic algorithms in C++, as much as possible, implemented with the certain number of universal operators, and then with testing created library on some examples. Library must support multi-core processors, implementation will be done over OpenMP. The library will be tested on three examples in all. The first two examples are mathematical functions, that are used just for genetic algorithms testing. Last problem for test is N-Queens problem. Finally we will use genetic algorithms to try find solution for Eternity II puzzle, there is declared a 2 million bounty for full solution.
Study of alkali metals ions diffusion in hardened cement
Doležal, Martin ; Janča, Martin (referee) ; Šoukal, František (advisor)
This master thesis is aim to study alkali diffusion (sodium, potassium) in hardened cement paste body. It´s deal with impact of various sorroudings (hydroxide, nitrate and carbonate) in various concentrations and temperature effect. This work is also deal with changes in cement paste and medium. Teoretic part is talking about cement production and cement chemistry, alkali-silica reaction, plasticizer, diffusion an cement testing metods. This work is aimed to white (Aalborg CEM I 52,5 R – SR 5) and road (Mokrá CEM I 42,5 R – sc) cement. Experimental part describes constitution of tested cement pastes, conservation of them and sampling. Diffusion is study by ICP-AES which affected the loss of alkali from the solution and SEM which affected alkali migration (diffusion) in cement paste. In several cases, the formation of a saturated alkali edge was observed, followed by steady diffusion. In the case of potassium there was very slow diffusion through the body mass. The influence of medium and temperature was evaluated as the most significant. The effect of medium concentration wasn´t significant. Also changes in the porosity on the body were observed. The diffusion itself was affected by secondary products gorwing on the surface of body and in the medium. The work deals with them in the last part.
Marketing Research of Young People‘s Satisfaction with Life in Czech Republic - Labour Migration
Pustka, Ondřej ; Peterová, Dalie (referee) ; Šimberová, Iveta (advisor)
The goal of my thesis is to find out how satisfied are people in young age between 18 and 30 years old with life in Czech Republic and find reasons and factors which can lead them to undergo the labour migration. The first part focuses on goals of the thesis and methods used for its elaboration. The following theoretical part consists of basic terms and theory connected with marketing research, customers‘ satisfaction and labour migration, which create base for practical part. Practical part includes the marketing research, recived data processing, the result of the research and proposals how to improve people’s satisfaction with life in Czech Republic and how to alleviate labour migration as well.
Database Migration from Microsoft SQL Server to Cloud Microsoft Azure SQL Database
Pernicová, Aneta ; Luhan, Jan (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
The content of this bachelor thesis is the relational database migration from Microsoft SQL Server to the Microsoft Azure SQL Database cloud solution. The first part focuses on the history and development of Microsoft SQL Server and the introduction of the Microsoft Azure platform with a focus on the SQL Database service. The second part analyzes the current situation from the viewpoint of the information system focusing on the content and structure of the database and subsequently in the third part, I deal with the practical processing of migration.
Study of the effect of migrastatics on the dynamics of tumour cell migration using a coherence-controlled holographic microscope
Muchová, Nikola ; Netíková,, Irena Štenglová (referee) ; Veselý, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the exploitation of the coherence controlled holographic microscopy for the investigation of the influence of the supposed migrastatic drugs on the dynamics of cancer cell migration. The theoretical part briefly describes the history of holographic microscopy and the development of the holographic microscope at the Brno University of Technology in collaboration with Telight, Brno, including an insight into the design and principle of operation of the coherence-controlled holographic microscope. Next a brief description of current cancer treatments introduces new class of anti-cancer drug candidates designated migrastatics that should impair cancer cell migration and thus prevent late metastases formation. The main part of the thesis deals with the design of the experimental observation procedure and data processing using the holographic incoherent Quantitative Phase Imaging technique. The last part of the thesis is the subsequent analysis of the migrastatic effect of the selected drugs on cancer cells in vitro and the comparison of the obtained results with existing studies. Finally, the objectives with magnification 4x and 10x were evaluated and compared for starting “the Rapid Assessment of Cell Growth and Migration”.
Analysis of Employment and Taxation of Foreginers in the Czech Republic
Kuchyňková, Michaela ; Filípková, Barbora (referee) ; Kopřiva, Jan (advisor)
This master´s thesis focuses on issue of employment and taxation of foreigners in the Czech Republic. It analyzes current situation in labour market in the Czech Republic according to integration of migrants into labour process. The thesis presents on the sub-practice examples possible ways of employment and taxation of foreign workers to optimize tax.
On the effect of tempering and storage conditions of rubber parts on final joint cohesion
Jílková, Ingrid ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with an analysis of waxing phases occurrence on the surface of the technical rubber which is used in the automotive industry. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with a composition and manufacturing of the rubber. It is focused on the composition of rubber compounds and waxes. It explains technical properties, reasons (advantages) of the ingredients in the rubber components. Next, it also clarifies the substance of the wax and its use in relation to rubbers. The theoretical part also clarifies the storage of rubber parts and why is it desirable to identify the wax which is separated on free surfaces of rubber. The practical part deals with a suggestion of the identification methods for the waxes on the surface of rubber. It also presents the comparison of the possibilities of the methods used for the identification of wax and its evaluation.
Techniques of Virtualisation of Computing Platforms in Linux
Župka, Jiří ; Kumpošt, Marek (referee) ; Vojnar, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis tests and compares various existing virtualization tools for virtualization of computing platforms and explains important conceptions of virtualization technology. It's main contribution is a performance,  efficiency, scalability and robustness comparison of virtualization tools. This comparison should help the Redhat company to make a decision whether they should leave XEN as a main virtualization tool in their distributions and move on to another newer and more user friendly virtualization tool like KVM.
