The program To Respect And To Be Respected in a critical reflection

In the theoretical part of the thesis there are presented different models of education with the focus on the position of a child as subject / object of education (authoritative education, democratic, liberal) and the importance of authority in education. In the next part of the text there are the concepts, arguments and individual educational strategies of the program Respect and be respected explained in detaile. The research part of the thesis is focused on mapping the experience of parents and teachers (N = 10) who have passed a training course. The key research question is: How can graduates use R + R recommendations in every day practice (family or school), and how can they prove real educational effects? Key Aspects of Christian Education of Youth

The diploma thesis is concerned with education of young people and it is introducing key aspects for its theoretical reflection, thinks the aspects over and its practical implementation. It is focused to a posibility of aplication the knowledges and the processes from psychology and pedagogy and shows the necessity of a dialog between the practical-theological reflection and the secular access. It points the christian education of youth as a complex unit, which deserves special attention. It explorer, beside other things, the question of educational targets and also relevant issues for the nowadays youth. These things are closely connected with cognition of specifity young man and the environment where he lives and which influences him. And also for this reason this diploma work shows the line of these aspects. As a penetration of general finding out the christian education and the youth situation expresses several means which play the important part of christian education of the youth.
The Risks of Rewards and Punishments in School Age Children

This thesis deals with risks of rewards and punishments in school age children. The theme has been analysed from a few points of view. At first, I show the differences between punishments and rewards in the past and nowadays, secondly I look into the theme with three psychological theories, Behaviorism, Humanistic psychology and Cognitive psychology. In the main part of the thesis, there are defined the main risks by the synthesis of Czech and foreign sources. I mention also reasons why is the thesis focused on school age children. My thesis brings some evidence that the use of rewards and punishments could be a significant problem for development of child personality. However this problem is still rarely discussed. This thesis is focused on parents, educators and tutors who could be helped to think about negative consequences of rewarding and punishing.
