Gas flow measurement
Slováček, Antonín ; Šedivá, Soňa (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis brings a description and realization of new measuring devices which are designed to support student´s laboratory practice of air flow measurement techniques. The new devices and laboratory exercises help students get experience of several methods of measuring which they get to know during mandatory Bachelor's and Master's study programmes. The paper also includes a theoretical background, the knowledge of which is necessary for mastering the issue. Moreover, the paper comprises a literary search of sensors and a market research. The second part of the thesis presents possibilities of the laboratory workplace, and the results of the measurements of the new laboratory devices used for sample laboratory exercises.
Utilization of absorption systems in the heating systems
Vidlák, David ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
Main goal of this work is familiarization with basic features of absorption heat pumps and it’s growing importance on the market. In the first part of the work there is a research for clarifying facts associated with such pumps. In the introduction there are descriptions of basic information from the field of heating industry and its connections to our systems. Next there is a brief analysis of price changes in electricity and heat in the last five years. Main part of the analytical section is a description of the used absorption system. Second part of the work is focused on the calculation of the absorption system itself. First there is calculated internal and external part of the device according to the parameters from GE Power s.r.o. After this step there are parametric studies based on changes of key parameters of the default device for a demonstration of the behavior of a heating pump. In the end of the work there is a integration of the unit into the heating cycle for variations including flue gas condenser and using a cooling water from the turbine condenser.
Thermal Mass Flowmeter
Mlčoch, Albert ; Kunz, Jan (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with verification of the mathematical model of a thermoanemometric sensor of water flow according to the King's equation. The model and measuring apparatus are briefly described. The paper deals mainly with measurement and its evaluation. The model is gradually modified depending on the measured data. The measurement evaluation summarizes the current knowledge and measurement accuracy of a modified sensor model. Another part of this paper deals with the simulation of observed processes in COMSOL Multiphysics simulation software, how this software works and its outcomes. In the final part of this paper, the electronic circuit of the sensor is designed.
Heat exchangers for air-conditioning
Pavlíček, Michal ; Jaroš, Michal (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis is divided into 2 parts. The first part deals with classification and characterization of heat exchangers. The sizing process of plate heat exchangers is described and demonstrated in the second part. Obtained results are compared with real plate heat exchanger produced by Güntner Company.
Intake Manifold for Single-cylinder Engine
Pavličík, Lukáš ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to create a thermodynamic computational model of a single cylinder IC engine for the Formula SAE car. The single cylinder SI engine KTM 500 EXC is considered as a powertrain unit. The intake manifold of the serial enduro motorcycle is modified according to the Formula SAE 2014 rules. Analysis of the one dimensional flow is performed by using Lotus engine simulation software.
Engine Intake Manifold for Formule SAE
Řehák, Ivo ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Thesis is bend on design of intake manifold for car Formula SAE. For driving of this car is used engine Yamaha YZF R6 (2005). Design of intake tract is processed so that agrees with rules and specifications for cars Formula SAE. For restriction of engine performance is in intake tract installed restrictor. For filling efficiency uplift of engine is used the resonance effect in intake pipes. Analysis of flow is carry out on simulation software for analyses of one dimensional flow.
Optimalization of Exhaust Manifold for SI Turbo Engine
Andrys, Michal ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Abstract Michal ANDRYS Optimalization of Exhaust Manifold for SI Turbo Engine DP, IAE, 2010, 67 pp., 75 fig. The Diploma thesis is oriented on the design of exhaust manifold for si turbo engine. It specifies suitable manifold connection to the separate branches, folowed by CFD analysis.
Bladeless fan cooling module
