Analysis of Current Higher Harmonics Impact on Losses in Transformer Foil Winding
Žďárský, Jan ; Klíma, Petr (referee) ; Mrajca, Miroslav (advisor)
This paper deals with the analysis of the effects of non-sinusoidal current on the foil windings of power transformers. This issue is important in transformer design since losses are measured only when sinusoidal current is passed through. In some applications, these losses need to be recalculated to account for the effect of higher harmonics of the current in actual operation, as these losses are related to transformer heating. A literature search of available sources that have already described this issue is performed in this work. In this paper, a model for simulation in Ansys Maxwell environment is presented, using which the losses due to higher harmonics will be calculated.
Laboraty Pulse Power Supply Using Output Linear Stabilization
Lednický, Marek ; Dušek, Martin (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with switched mode power supplies. The theoretic part of the thesis consists of historical development and the elementary schemes of switched mode power supplies. It also includes the comparing with linear regulators. Next, it contains the description of individuals parts switched mode power supplies as a rectifiers, power supplies and stabilizers. There is a proposal and fixing of laboratory pulse power supply using output linear stabilization in the practical part of the paper.
Converters for HVDC Energy Transmission
Martinec, Roman ; Klíma, Bohumil (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to introduce the high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems used in the world today. The work lists the basic principles of connection between individual HVDC stations, as well as the configuration of the HVDC transmission link. In addition, the work describes the topologies of converters currently in use and also their principal semi-conductor components. In the conclusion of the thesis, the HVDC technology is assessed, including its advantages and drawbacks.

Matlab models of DC/DC converters with transformer
Michalík, Martin ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Pazdera, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of the Bachelor thesis was getting in touch with standard topologies of DC/DC converters with transformer, their realization in programming environment Matlab/Simulink with usage of Simscape library and processing the results of simulations. Part of work is given to theory of transformers and design of transformers model, which is important part of every DC/DC converter with transformer. Model of transformer is based on theoretical background and functionality is checked up by reference model. The main part is aimed to enlighten functionality of different variety of DC/DC converters with transformer, creating their models in programming environment Matlab/Simulink, simulate those models and process results of simulations.
