Liquid flow measurement
Hradil, Jiří ; Fialka, Jiří (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
In my master’s thesis, I consider with flow measurement. In shortness is described principle of flow sensors functionality, its advantages and disadvantages. I designed and made device for practice measurement of flow. On this device are installed three flowmeters The characteristic of this flowmeters were measured and evaluated. I made program in LabVIEW to collect and analyze information from instaled flowmeters.
Software for teaching the control of a nuclear power plant steam generator
Toman, Jiří ; Nekula, Pavel (referee) ; Němec, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the study of steam generator regulation and development of an application, which includes a real simulation of steam generator water level control with its graphical interpretation. It presents analysis and solution in the form of software that will be a valuable application in practice. The result of the diploma thesis is educational software simulating the behavior of the steam generator level control system in referenced nuclear power plant.
Measurement and evaluation of flows in sewer networks
Haška, Aleš ; Prax,, Petr (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
Measuring flow rate, water surface and rainfall are the crucial inputs for the calibration of the hydraulic model. This bachelor’s thesis presents mathematical models and measuring devices for the sewer networks. This thesis summarises the measuring devices that are currently available and used on the sewer network. Furthermore, theory of random and systematic errors is discussed. In the second section, this theory is implemented in the chosen area for the sewer network in Znojmo. On the 9. 9. 2020, three ultrasonic measuring devices (type ISCO 2150 with AV sensor) and one device for measuring water surface (type IJINUS) were installed in this area. This thesis provides continuous measurements which are then applied for the calibration of the hydraulic model. On completion of this thesis it is necessary to continue to calibrate and verify the model in order to increase accuracy and be more precise.
Thermal Flow measurement
Beneš, Jiří ; Kunz, Jan (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with verification of properties of termo anemometric sensor P1K0 / 50. The first part consists of a theoretical description of termo anemometric principles, their evaluation, parasitic influences on the sensors and an overview of the most important features of the sensor. The second part of the thesis deals with the design and implementation of the measuring track for measuring these properties. The result of this work is to verify the properties of the P1K0 / 50 sensor, to create its mathematical model and to determine the possible applicability of the sensor in laboratory teaching.
Gas flow measurement
Slováček, Antonín ; Šedivá, Soňa (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis brings a description and realization of new measuring devices which are designed to support student´s laboratory practice of air flow measurement techniques. The new devices and laboratory exercises help students get experience of several methods of measuring which they get to know during mandatory Bachelor's and Master's study programmes. The paper also includes a theoretical background, the knowledge of which is necessary for mastering the issue. Moreover, the paper comprises a literary search of sensors and a market research. The second part of the thesis presents possibilities of the laboratory workplace, and the results of the measurements of the new laboratory devices used for sample laboratory exercises.
River wireless monitor
Michník, Jakub ; Štohl, Radek (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work presents hardware and software design for River wireless monitor Rabbit Core module RCM5400W. It describes possible solutions for measurement of river characteristics, in particular water level height. Pressure method measuring and selection of important electric parts are described in more detail. The software for Rabbit Core module RCM5400W and also web sites are described here.
System for measuring of thermal efficiency of solar absorbers
Řiháček, Jan ; Podaný, Kamil (referee) ; Mrňa, Libor (advisor)
The thesis deals with the measurement system for determining the thermal efficiency of the newly developed types of solar absorbers. Measuring equipment allows simultaneous indoor or outdoor thermal efficiency detection of up to four samples absorbers. Emphasis is placed on the flow and heat transfer medium temperature changes. For this purpose is used Biotech FCH-m-POM-LC and LM35DZ sensors. Sensor signal is transferred to a PC using the measuring module NI USB-6221. Here it is further processed by proposed evaluation program. The software is implemented in LabVIEW integrated development environment. In a final part are performed a verification measurements to assess system performance and evaluate the thermal efficiency of various types of solar absorbers. This path is also demonstrated high efficiency applications absorbent layer coating color RABSORB 5.
Effect of the turbulence model for simulation of air flow around flowmeter
Vlček, Josef ; Havlíková, Marie (referee) ; Šedivá, Soňa (advisor)
Purpose of this thesis is to check influence of turbulent model used for simulation of flow close to primary elementi inserted into piping. The goal is to check if results computed by these models are equal and how precise is their prediction.
Use of integration methods for discharge measurement in non-uniform flow in confusor of the flume
Zeiner, Pavel ; Zubík, Pavel (referee) ; Žoužela, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with the measurement of flow rate in flume type PARS P3. First, there is a search for a convenient profile in confusor for research and consequently to construct graphical dependence from which to read the value of the correction coefficient for many flow rates in flume.
Assessment effects substandard tributaries flowing a proportion on Q/h characteristics thin-plate weir with a rectangular cutout
Šmidrkalová, Nina ; Šafář, Robert (referee) ; Žoužela, Michal (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with the problem of measuring flow, especially using the method of Q/H characteristics. It describes the thin-plate weir and mentions specific channels. The master´s thesis suggests options of monitoring flow capacity in fixed proffiles with free surface. The master´s thesis also includes an experiment, which is focused on simulation of substandard tributary flowing proportions before weirs for determining their effect on Q/H characteristcs. The experiment is carried out on a thin-plate weir with a rectangular notch at the Department of Water Structures at the Faculty of Civil Engeneering in Brno. Another part of the master´s thesis is data processing to get an idea about the impact of the phenomenon in real applications. Finally, options are recommended for follow-up research.
