Dušan Samo Jurkovič in Nové Město nad Metují

The subject of the Master's Thesis is the design activity of architect Dušan Samo Jurkovič for Josef and Cyril Bartoň from Dobenín in Nové Město nad Metují. In a separate chapter, she first introduces the chateau in Nové Město nad Metují in its construction development and also introduces the urban and cultural context of the city in its individual historical periods. In other chapters she exhibits the personality of Dušan Samo Jurkovič and his work before the rebuilding of the chateau in Nové Město nad Metují, as well as the assignment given to Jurkovič in Nové Město. The core of the work is an analysis of Jurkovič's interventions in the chateau. Their further interpretation is used for the independent processing of Jurkovič's buildings in Peklo, a restaurant and tourist cottages. The concluding chapter deals with the evaluation of Jurkovič's work in Nové Město nad Metují and an overview of further development of his architectural work and his work in the preservation of monuments. Regionální typologie roubených staveb na území ČR

This thesis discusses the classification of traditional log buildings according to their residential type and the local architectural form of the given time period and their use and function in the current administrative regions of the Czech Republic. The individual buildings are defined by the type of their construction, their details and typological characterictics. The attachments include catalog sheets, which provide appropriate recommendations for design of new timbered buildings, that will not disrupt the traditional landscape of a given location. The thesis also includes photodocumentation and final evaluations of newly constructed timbered buildings.

The subject of this thesis is design of private interior, that follows traditional village house. First part of this thesis is mainly about history, content and formal signs, materials and furniture of traditional folk buildings within region. Also, it lists normative, legislative, functional and hygienic requirements of contemporary living space. This information is used for practical part, that consist of design of interior of family house in the region of Moravian Slovakia. This part does not consist only of sketches, visualisations and technical documentation, but also design of sideboard, that works as a furniture solitaire.

The aim of this paper was to specify elements of the language of vernacular earthen architecture in south Moravia by means of analysis and interpretation. The research was conducted to develop a better understanding of earthen vernacular architecture and the possible further use of its language in contemporary architecture.

This bachelor thesis deals with continuous development of our countryside and folk architecture. Individual chapters are aimed at the development of rural residencies in different periods, different local buildings on the territory of the Czech Republic, the layout of country buildings, their constructions and typical features. An important part of folk architecture is created by farm buildings. The most important ones are described in the chapter which deals with the development of farm buildings usage, location and construction. In my thesis, there are also described numerous religious and aristocratic buildings. The last chapter pursues the folk architecture of the Vysočina region.

The title of my thesis is "Historical development of rural settlements in the chosen lokality". As the name mentions I deal with the development of rural settlements in my work. I chose the villages Horní Dvořiště and Pištín for processing. The theoretical part deals with the historical development of rural settlements through different periods. Furthermore, I have described the factors that affect the settlement of our landscape. In the other chapters, the typical building elements of folk architecture are described. The penultimate part is dedicated to folk buildings by regions and at the last part, I have devoted to the South Bohemian folk architecture which I have described according to individual areas. The practical part contains description of both villages, Horní Dvořiště and Pištín. The development is described from the perspective of cadastral territory, therefore I have also mentioned Czech Herslak in the chapter about Horni Dvoriste because it belongs to Horni Dvoriste. The methods of description and collection of facts that I have been used for my work are recorded subsequently.

Robotics and digital design are associated with the creation of free forms. The thesis deals with the potential of new building technologies in the sense of an opportunity to build on the foregoing regional architecture, disconnected by an industrial mass production. A creation that can reinterpret the charm and diversity of Moravian houses, preserving the continuity between old morphology and today’s housing requirements.
Korňa – place in the landscape

The ambition of the diploma thesis is to create an impulse, which is able to reconnect people with the landscape through the architecture in my homeland. Small interventions in landscape with the participation of residence is a chance for activation of this environment and the habitant's minds. The main point is free interpretation of traditional wooden architecture.
Historical development of rural municipalities

This bachelor's thesis entitled "Historical Development of Rural Settlements" deals primarily with the development of settlements from prehistory to modern history. It describes types of buildings in particular regions of the Czech Republic and summarizes the progressive development and organization of rural residential houses. It deals with the development of church and mansion buildings as well. The constructions and the special elements of folk architecture which gave the buildings their distinctive character changed gradually depending on the available material. In the countryside there appeared mainly agricultural estates, which included farm buildings, therefore one of the chapters was focused on the most important ones. The last chapter is devoted to the demonstration of beautiful folk architecture, which was preserved in the South Bohemian region.
Historical development of rural municipalities and folk architecture in the selected regions of the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of history of country seats and folk architecture. This thesis also desribes dissimilarity related to construction of regions located in the Czech Republic, selected by myself. There is an analysis of both locations in the Czech Republic for better comprehension. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to explain matters of development of domestic country and conservation of folk architecture. It could be a benefit for the general public, which would maintain the folk architecture since it is disappearing from our villages increasingly.
