Author: Kateřina Pakandlová Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment in a patient after an ischemic stroke with left spastic hemiparesis. Objectives: The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to find out theoretical information about stroke and to process a case study about physiotherapeutic care in a patient after an ischemic stroke. Methods: The thesis is divided into two parts, including a theoretical part and a special part. The theoretical part is specialized in obtaining and processing information about stroke - its clinical symptoms, risk factors, diagnosis, medical treatment, and physiotherapeutic care. The special part involves a case study of physiotherapeutic care in the chosen patient who suffered an ischemic stroke. It consists of an initial and a final examination, therapeutic plan, therapy sessions, and evaluation of the effect of therapy. The case study comes from my practical experience at the Vršovická Zdravotní a.s. during January and February 2022. Title: A case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after hemorrhagic stroke resulting in left-sided hemiparesis Objective: To analyze and compile theoretical information regarding intrarcranial hemorrhaging, to clarify the etiology of this disease and different forms of manifestation in the clinical environment. To demonstrate my skills within the range of knowledge acquired during the bachelor's study of physiotherapy, which includes: the ability to communicate with the patient, patient examination, and put together a therapeutic plan based on that examination that will be practically applied during therapeutic intervention. Method: This work consists of two main parts. General part and practical part. The general part contains the etiology and theoretical knowledge related to the issue of intracranial hemorrhage, describes the anatomical structures of the vascular supply to the brain, possible variants and stages of this disease, clinical symptoms and related complications. Last but not least, it deals with possible therapeutic approaches that can be applied to a patient with this disability. The practical part deals with the case report of a long-term hospitalized patient after a hemorrhagic stroke resulting in left-sided hemiparesis, with whom I have worked in the hospital in Brandýs...
Effect of occupational therapy on the client with mental and multiple disabilities
Čiefová, Martina ; Krahulcová, Beáta (advisor) ; Nová, Monika (referee)
The Bachelor thesis entitled "Influence of occupational therapy on clients with intellectual and multiple disabilities" is focused on the effect of occupational therapy on people with disabilities. The theoretical part deals with the issue of the concept of occupational therapy, looks at its history and origin and defines the concept of mental retardation and Down syndrome. The second part focuses on the employment rate of people with intellectual disabilities. I'm finding out, how the therapy works upon them and whether it is beneficial for them. In the survey I used the method of observation and a partly free conversation. The results of the observation are processed in a detailed description of the client's skills, their evaluation and recommendation of further treatment.
