Discrimination in the labour market

This bachelor work deals with discrimination in the labour market. The emphasis is above all placed on racial discrimination in the Czech republic, that is connected with the Romany minority. At first sight it may seen, that this subject matter is not a problem of economics, but I thing, that the economic view is crucial. The work focuses on an evaluation of current discrimination problem solving, evaluates if this solution is optimal and finally if there may not be a better one how to help the discriminated minorities in the labour market.

Práce pojednává o posouzení možností uplatnění specifického českého výrobku na zahraničním trhu. V práci je popsán jak výrobek, tak i společnost, která ho vyvinula, vyrábí a prodává. Pomocí konkrétního příkladu je ukázáno, které otázky musí firma řešit, pokud chce proniknout na zahraniční trh. Na základě konzultací v agentuře CzechTrade je jako potenciální trh vybráno Švédsko.
Active labour market policy of Czech Republic and Slovak Republic

This thesis is concerned with increasing of employment through active labour market policy. It focuses on two countries - Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. Thesis describes theory of unemployment, it deals with historical base of labour market policy, as well as with particular actions of labour market policies of both considered countries. After that, main tools are analyzed, there are described advantages and disadvantages of particular actions, as well as whole active labour market policy approach. Recommendations for both countries are followed. Finally, thesis deals with European social fund.

Diplomová práce pojednává o souhrnné strategii střední české firmy, RÜCKL CRYSTAL, a.s., při vstupu na zahraniční trhy. Práce analyzuje postavení společnosti na českém trhu užitkového skla, její konkurenci na českém i světovém trhu, zahrnuje SWOT analýzu firmy. Součástí práce je návrh strategie vstupu firmy na floridský trh, včetně definovaného marketingové mixu, který vychází z PEST analýzy trhu, vývoje na americkém trhu skla a analýzy konkurence.
LABOUR MARKET AND UNEMPLOYMENT IN PARDUBICE REGION

This thesis analyses the labour market in the region Pardubice and unemployment in this region. The introduction part describes the main chapters with the assigned target and what the thesis will be about. Theory is being explained by fundamentals terms like labour market, unemployment, unemployment rate. Unemployment is also connected to the psychological and sociological aspects. The characteristics of Pardubice region are being described and the city of Pardubice is being proved as a place with special position in this region. In the city of Pardubice, there is a survey made by the author. The survey is focused on observating behavior of respondents in their current jobs or behavior in eventually searching for a new job in this city. The survey is also interested in the respondent's opinions on the Employment Agency as a public institution.
Comparison of the immigrant's position on the labor market in the Czech Republic and in Germany

The main goal of this final thesis is the analysis of the immigrant's position on the labor market in the Czech Republic and in Germany. For this purpose the thesis makes a research of particular factors and barriers which immigrants have to deal with on the labor market and define their direct effects. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the integration policy of both countries. Based on performed analysis in the field of immigration and integration the author of the thesis makes a comparison of the attitudes of both countries towards the immigrants with the aim to set up fitting measures for improvement of the immigrant's situation on the Czech labor market. The thesis is divided into theoretical and analytical part. The theoretical part is focused on theoretical solutions in the field of migration, migration policy, integration and discrimination. In analytical part, there is carry out a proper analysis according to the set goals.
Foreigners on Czech labor market

This work's intention is to capture the most important immigratory movements to the Czech Republic especially in relationship with participation of foreigners at Czech labor market. First it attends to phenomena of migration from common view in context with legislative set-up of chosen problems and with present state of migration politics in the Czech Republic. Last but not least it attends to history, trends and general reasons of migration. From this viewpoint it summarizes theoretical knowledge and other information relevant to immigration problems and it briefly characterizes significant causes of migration which are not directly related to labor market. Analytic part deals with possibilities of labor use of foreigners in the Czech Republic. It results from the analysis of present situation and from labor market's needs and it examines possibilities and conditions of foreigners who are labor market's part - it focuses at the most frequently immigrating national groups including detailed analysis of Vietnamese community. This work also characterizes possible future impact of present inflow of foreigners to Czech republic's labor market. The summary of diploma work synthesizes acquired findings, exposes the most severe problems and suggests selected possibilities of their solution.
Student Protests in France in 2006

Práce se zabývá zkoumáním studentských protestů ve Francii v roce 2006 a s nimi souvisejícími přeměnami trhu práce. Cílem textu je analýza sporu kolem nové úpravy pracovní legislativy ve Francii. Zároveň je provedeno srovnání s reformami přijatými v jiných zemích. První kapitola se věnuje legislativní ochraně zaměstnanosti a jejímu dopadu na trh práce, s důrazem na analýzu aktuální situace ve Francii a její vývoj v mezinárodním kontextu. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na dva typy pracovních smluv, které měly pomoci snížit rigiditu francouzské legislativy. Třetí kapitola popisuje příčiny odmítnutí druhé z přijatých reforem a poukazuje na některé problémy současné francouzské společnosti. Čtvrtá část pak představuje vývoj legislativy po odmítnutí nové smlouvy a na základě mezinárodního srovnání nastiňuje možné cesty reformy trhu práce. Závěr shrnuje výsledky analýzy a nabízí určitá doporučení reforem trhu práce ve Francii.
Vocational rehabilitation and supported employment of people with disabilities in the Czech Republic

The thesis is focused on the position of people with disabilities on the labour market in the Czech Republic, on the received arrangements for support of their employment and on their possibilities to get a job. The first part deals with characteristics of the present situation of disabled people on the labour market and with specification of various factors, which can influence their employment. The next part is focused on the supported employment service, which helps disadvantaged people on the labour market, especially people with disabilities, on the principles and advantages of this service and also on the comparison of the Czech experiences with experiences of the chosen European union countries. Only the nongovernmental non-profit organizations so far offer the supported employment service in the Czech Republic and that is why the following part discusses the topic of this organizations and their financing, especially funding from EU structural funds, which are the most important source of money for most of the mentioned organizations. The final part deals with the incentives, which can lead employers to employ the person with disability.
Social Consequences of Population Aging on the Side of Labour Supply and Labour Demand

This work deals with social consequences of population aging in relation to the employment market. Aging of Czech population is, according to Population Projection by 2050, collected by ČSÚ, inevitable. Growing rate of seniors in the population is accompanied by many negative economical and social consequences. Anticipated demographic progression will be especially charge on the social security system, health service, public finance, but also on the employment market. Considerable weight falls on the field of savings, on the productivity of labour, and on the population status. In the scope of the text, situation of labour demand on the emploers' side and labour supply from elder employers is discused as well. To increase the employment rate of elderly people, the measures stimulating labour supply and labour demand are mentioned. This work also contains the analysis of present status of elderly labour force on the labour market according to age, education and region, and the prediction of corporate behaviour change, due to growing rate of seniors as consumers.
