Use of blockchain technology for recording changes in cloud storage
Spolek, Jaroslav ; Malina, Lukáš (referee) ; Dzurenda, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a module to ensure data integrity on an existing cloud storage platform, Nextcloud. The theoretical part deals with issues related to the security of cloud storage services, and subsequently, it provides a general introduction to blockchain technology and its implementation in the form of Ethereum blockchain technology. Included are the basic principles of Ethereum blockchain technology and the principles of smart contracts. In the practical part, the design proposal, tools used during the implementation, and the implementation of the data integrity module utilising blockchain technology are presented. The results of the system testing are then analysed, and external influences and factors affecting the cost and operation of the module are identified. This analysis concludes with a proposal for future improvements addressing the current shortcomings of the module.
Extension of Apache Tika with Industrial File Formats Text Extraction
Rešetár, René ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
The goal of the bachelor's thesis was to extend the parsers of the Apache Tika project with data and table extraction from industrial document formats from laboratory instruments. These data will be stored in a structured format according to a certain scheme. In the theoretical part, the supplied industrial formats, the Apache Tika project and the possibilities of its expansion were examined. In the practical part, a tool was designed and implemented, which classifies documents using the Apache Tika project, processes them, creates structured data from them in the JSON format and subsequently validates them. Finally, a set of tests was created to verify and demonstrate the properties of the solution.
Data archiving using blockchain technology
Řihánek, Tobiáš ; Sikora, Marek (referee) ; Člupek, Vlastimil (advisor)
This thesis dealt with the issue of data archiving. The aim was to explore the possibilities of using blockchain technology to address the security aspects of digital archiving, and then to design and implement an application that uses blockchain to secure data integrity. First, a theoretical analysis of both archiving and blockchain technology was conducted. Next, a web application was designed that uses this technology to detect integrity breaches. Based on the design, a system consisting of a web application written in JavaScript and an archiving application and a validation application written in Java was implemented. These applications communicate with each other and create a secure archiving system using blockchain. The functionality of the system was demonstrated and its security was tested.
Interception of Modern Encrypted Protocols
Marček, Ján ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Kajan, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with the introduction to the security mechanism. The procedure explains the basic concepts, principles of cryptography and security of modern protocols and basic principles that are used for information transmission network. The work also describes the most common types of attacks targeting the eavesdropping of communication. The result is a design of the eavesdropping and the implementation of an attack on the secure communication of the SSL protocol..The attacker uses a false certificate and attacks based on poisoning the ARP and DNS tables for this purpose. The thesis discusses the principles of the SSL protocol and methodology of attacks on the ARP and DNS tables.
Ensuring Long-term Data Integrity in Cloud Storage
Nohava, Martin ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Malina, Lukáš (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is the design and development of a system to ensure the long-term integrity of data from the Nextcloud cloud storage, which manages and stores electronic evidence. In the introductory part, the terms and principles used for securing data integrity are presented, including quantum-resistant digital signature schemes. Subsequently, the architecture of the archiving system and the method of its connection with the Nextcloud cloud storage are proposed. The resulting system consists of two main components, the Archive application, which extends the web interface of the Nextcloud instance, and the archiving system, which ensures the integrity of the archived files themselves. In addition to time stamps, system also uses a quantum-resistant Dilithium signature scheme. At the end of the work, an evaluation of the implemented solution is carried out by measuring the performance of the archiving system, and options for its further development are proposed.

Data quality, data integrity and consolidation of data in BI
Dražil, Michal ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Zajíc, Ján (referee)
This thesis deals with the areas of enterprise data quality, data integrity and data consolidation from the perspective of Business Intelligence (BI), which is currently experiencing significant growth. The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive view of the data quality in terms of BI, to analyze problems in the area of data quality control and to propose options to address them. Moreover, the thesis aims to analyze and assess the features of specialized software tools for data quality. Last but not least aim of this thesis is to identify the critical success factors in the field of data quality in CRM and BI projects. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first (theoretical) part deals with data quality, data integrity and consolidation of data in relation to BI trying to identify key issues, which are related to these areas. The second (practical) part of the thesis deals at first with the features of software tools for data quality and offers their fundamental summary as well as the tools breakdown. This part also provides basic comparison of the few selected software products specialized at the corporate data quality assurance. The practical part hereafter describes addressing the data quality within the specific BI/CRM project conducted by Clever Decision Ltd. This thesis is intended primarily for BI and data quality experts, as well as the others who are interested in these disciplines. The main contribution of this thesis is that it provides comprehensive view not only of data quality itself, but also deals with the issues that are directly related to the corporate data quality assurance. This thesis can serve as a sort of guidance for one of the first implementation phases in the BI projects, which deals with the data integration, data consolidation and solving problems in the area of data quality.
