The history of information system development
Buliková, Kristína ; Žid, Norbert (advisor) ; Krátoška, Václav (referee)
The main aim of my bachelor work is mapping of four development phases of information systems from the view of application architecture. The development of information systems in companies is connected with their ambition for future expansion and global strategy of a given company. AAA AUTO a.s. is one of many examples. The company has implemented a new information system Microsoft Dynamics NAV recently. Herewith the architecture of information systems was significantly changed. My work is divided into two main chapters. In the first chapter I describe the particular phases. In the second chapter I analyse the information system of the company before and after implementation. In the conclusion I would like to sum up which global strategies the company charged and classified its information system into one of the four phases. The method I used to fulfill these objectives was the examination of specializes sources and internal company documentation.

Comparsion of classic and modern authentication methods
Koudela, Radek ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Cidlina, Jaroslav (referee)
Owing to the growing significance of data protection and informatics in general, the importance of information system security counts among the most actual topics at this time. The main goal of this work is to give a comprehensive overview of the issue of users' authentication, including current trends on this field. There are also described the principles and working methods of classic and modern authentication methods, and listed their pros and cons. The main benefit lies in the comparison of these methods as well as in the evaluation of their deployment. As a result of this are suggestions, which can managers take into account when deciding about the method of authentication, and a description of weak points that need an attention. Information system architecture change managent process
Kuba, Petr ; Svatá, Vlasta (advisor) ; Ošmera, Jiří (referee)
For the runtime phase of automated information system lifecycle is typical a frequent change of system quality requirements. Only systems that can adapt to these requirements are successful in its environment. The system change can be each time of different extensive. If it is necessary for satisfaction of new requirements to add, remove or change some system components and its relations than we talk about system architecture change. This action is so large-scale that it is very risky to implement it without appropriate control and management. This essay addresses these changes and its management. Main phases of the process and its activities are proposed. The suggestion is based on the development process of new systems and available literature from this area. The target of the essay is to offer a certain framework for the change process management. Introduction to iformation system architecture is the first part of the essay. The last part is then concerned in a practical example of information system architecture change and its evaluation.
Measuring operation processes of IS for petrol stations
Šebelík, Jan ; Novotný, Ota (advisor) ; Ďásek, Pavel (referee)
The thesis concerns with measurement of processes of support and maintenance of a specialized information system for petrol stations. It is a system for support of retail sale of fuel and other non-fuel goods. As the main objective of the thesis was selected design of set of metrics for measurement of these processes based on multidimensionality principle. It means that dimensions and indicators are designed separately and a set of recommended metrics is based on their combinations. It is possible to get additional metrics using other combinations. The theoretical basis of the thesis is the ITIL library -- which is an internationally respected standard for IT service management -- and metrics designed in other literature and diploma theses. The designed metrics are adapted for the analyzed environment and service information system, however, they should be usable in other environments as well. Selected metrics were implemented to the service information system and measured in a relatively wide sample of input data. This allowed evaluating usability of the metrics and comparison of the threshold values with the measured ones. The relationship of metrics and service agreements (SLAs) is described in the end of the thesis. Specific metrics suitable to be incorporated to SLA were designed including a real-life example.
