The diploma thesis is focusing on a warehouse management system of the ČSAD Hodonín a.s. company. This corporation is a logistics service provider mostly offering to its customers services associated with goods storage. The first objective of this thesis is an evaluation of change of WMS in this company and the second one is to design a method for selection of WMS and its supplier.

Web-based business applications

The purpose of this bachelor work is to introduce web-based business applications with focus on products that are generally known as SaaS (Software-as-a-service). SaaS as a new trend in information technologies is studied mainly from economic-operational angle, although technological aspects are mentioned as well. This work presents fairly advantages and disadvantages of using such applications and compares them with similar on-premise business applications.

Stakeholder management in ICT projects

This work deals with the questions of the analysis and management of the parts engaged in information and communication technology projects. The stakeholder (the term "stakeholder" is used in Czech as well) is a subject, i.e. an individual or a corporate body, that is concerned about the result of the project and has the possibility to influence the project. The main goal of the thesis is to map the contemporary approaches toward the stakeholders analysis and management in the ICT projects, to analyze the problems of the influence of individual parts from both technocracy and human (psychological) point of view and to subsequently suggest the methodology for an effective analysis and management of the engaged parts, which could be used at the management of the projects in the ICT field. It is convenient to introduce the used terms and notions , their history and the way of use in the first part. There are dissect the known methodologies and tools used for the analysis and the management of the engaged parts. Subsequently, the stakeholders are systematically divide, it is accomplished their analysis from different perspectives and discussed mainly the aspects which can be crucial in the project management. The most common interests and motivations of the particular engaged parts are presented, including the influence and interest groups and the ways how to procure these parts for the aims of the projects. In the second part a research is described, which is carried out among managers of ICT companies and participants of ICT projects. There are elaborated some hypotheses on grounds of practical experiences from ICT projects and these are verified by this examination. The third part is focused on the presentation of the methodology for the analysis and the management of stakeholders in the ICT projects, which should serve the project managers for the stakeholders analysis and management in the ICT projects. Practical use of this methodology in the project of the SAP system implementation is described in the last, fourth part. This thesis completes relevant sources with the practical experiences at work on the projects in the ICT field. The effected research attested the original notion that this issue is relatively little known in the Czech Republic. The outcomes of this work could be of use for the project management in the ICT field.

Systémy pro podporu rozhodování

Práce se zaměřuje na psychologii rozhodování, omezené možnosti člověka, racionální složku rozhodování a vliv emocionálních aspektů na tvorbu rozhodnutí. Především pak na rozhodovací proces v hospodářských subjektech a v celospolečenském procesu řízení. Na pozadí vývoje systémů pro podporu rozhodování, je popsán proces, kdy dochází ke sblížení a zapracování poznatků o psychologii rozhodování do nových přístupů ke konceptu podpory rozhodování a řešení problémů. Poukazuje na nedostatky původních teorií zaměřených především na podporu racionální složky rozhodování a na způsoby, jakým způsobem moderní trendy řešení problémů a podpory rozhodování stále více akceptují nejenom racionální složky lidské osobnosti, ale i skryté nevědomé faktory, znalosti a zkušenosti i emocionální aspekty lidského jedince.

Economic Aspects of Information Systems

Práce sleduje ekonomický pohled na informační systémy, informace a znalosti. Ekonomický pohled je uvažován v kontextu praxeologie, širší vědy o lidském jednání. Práce využívá koncept rozptýlené znalosti a spontánního řádu, které jsou klíčovými prvky pohledu na společenské jevy u rakouského ekonoma Friedricha Augusta von Hayeka. Z tohoto pohledu jsou diskutovány otázky týkající se subjektivní povahy informace a individuálních znalostí, stejně tak jako širší pohled na informační systémy, expertní systémy a tyto změny popisující pojmy jakými jsou informační společnost a informační a znalostní ekonomika. Pro pochopení těchto jevů je nezbytné uvažovat o informačních systémech ne jako o technologickém, ale jako o společenském jevu.

Přehled trhu informačních systémů pro investiční bankovnictví

Práce je zaměřená na informační systémy v oddělení dealingu v investičním bankovnictví. Cílem práce je zmapovat informační systémy a pokrytí informační potřeby v odděleni dealingu. Celá práce poskytuje rozhled čtenáři, který chce v srozumitelné formě pochopit podstatu bankovního dealingu. Práce má za cíl zabývat se také investičními trendy, které významně ovlivňují činnost investičních subjektu. Přínos této práce spočívá v podrobném zmapování informačního systému oddělení dealingu, které je doplňováno zejména autorovými zkušenostmi a různými testy a průzkumy. Pomocí analýzy investičních trendů poukazujeme na fakt, že investiční banky jsou silně ovlivňovány těmito trendy. Při analýze srovnání produktů jsme dospěli k závěru, že na českém trhu působí 5 velkých hráčů, kteří se zabývají vývojem softwaru pro investiční bankovnictví a pokrývají 90% poptávky na trhu. Nicméně funkcionalita srovnávaných produktů od 5 velkých hráčů na českém trhu je velice podobná, což nasvědčuje nasycenosti trhu informačních systémů v investičním bankovnictví. Práce také popisuje jednotlivé aplikace (technické, automatizované,fundamentální a psychologické), které tvoří důležitou součást obchodování. Tato práce přináší i novou taxonomii aplikace pro fundamentální analýzu. Nezbytnou součástí obchodování je i pokrytí informační potřeby. Tato informační potřeba je pokryta rozdílně, jak pro jednotlivé lokality trhu, tak i pro jejich účastníky.
