SinuTrain 4.8 software tools for NC programming of five-axis milling
Beháň, Jakub ; Trčka, Tomáš (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with preparing the production process of the winning prize, which contains a selection in the form of a hyperbolic paraboloid in its upper part. The work is divided into four main chapters. First of all, the introduction part of the diploma thesis presents the possibilities of programming in the Sinumerik control system. Next, the mathematical requirements of the selected surface - hyperbolic paraboloid - are explained. The practical part consists of creating an NC program where all the theoretical knowledge from the introduction is applied. Finally, the diploma thesis ends with an economic evaluation of the selected element.
Non-Euclidian Geometries in Computer Games
Jůda, Štěpán ; Hůlka, Tomáš (referee) ; Dobrovský, Ladislav (advisor)
The work deals with the origin and description of non-Euclidean geometry and its division into hyperbolic and elliptic non-Euclidean geometry. It also discusses the behavior of geometric elements from Euclidean geometry in non-Euclidean geometries. Another subject of this work is the classification of computer games that use non-Euclidean geometry. The last point is the process of creating my own computer game.
Acoustic Detection of Speaker Position Using Microphone Array
Horázný, František ; Mošner, Ladislav (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This thesis describes the problem of determining the approximate position of a sound source in a coordinate system needed using the microphone field. It covers all possible variables influencing the detection of the sound source and explains the basic methods which can be used to determine the origin of the sound. The solution proposed in this thesis is to use synchronized static recordings and further modifications for running the program in real-time on the provided ARM/SHARC system, which has limited performance. This thesis contains also tests of the individual components and their parameters. The effect of changing these parameters on the behavior of the system is also shown in this thesis. Additionally, the developed application is used to perform the experiments demonstrating the shift of results during computation without any limitations and when running on the sound system. It also shows experiments with the resulting application, how the results change when calculating without performance limitation and when running on a sound card. Finally, this thesis gives several recommendations and assumptions on how to improve the results when using the program and how to eliminate several system limitations in unfavorable conditions.

Algebraic Curves in History and School
Fabián, Tomáš ; Kvasz, Ladislav (advisor) ; Jančařík, Antonín (referee)
TITLE: Agebraic Curves in History and School AUTHOR: Bc. Tomáš Fabián DEPARTMENT: The Department of mathematics and teaching of mathematics SUPERVISOR: prof. RNDr. Ladislav Kvasz, Dr. ABSTRACT: The thesis includes a series of exercises for senior high school students and the first year of university students. In these exercises, students will increase their knowledge about conics, especially how to draw them. Furthermore, students can learn about two unfamiliar curves: Conchoid and Quadratrix. All these curves are afterwards used for solving other problems - some Apollonius's problems, Three impossible constructions etc. Most of the construction is done in GeoGebra software. All the tasks are designed for students to learn how to work with this software. The subject discussed is put into historical context, and therefore the exercises are provided with historical commentary. The thesis also includes didactic notes, important or interesting solutions of exercises, possible issues, mistakes and another relevant notes. KEYWORDS: conic, circle, ellipse, parabola, hyperbole, conchoid, quadratrix, trisecting an angle, squaring the circle, rectification of the circle, doubling a cube, Apollonius's problem, GeoGebra

Secondary school conics with internet
Effenberger, Věra ; Hromadová, Jana (advisor) ; Karger, Adolf (referee)
Title: Utilization of the internet by teaching conics at high school Author: Bc. Věra Effenberger Department: Department of Mathematics Education Supervisor: RNDr. Jana Hromadová, Ph.D. Supervisor's e-mail address: Jana.Hromadova@mff.cuni.cz Abstract This diploma thesis is dealing with conics' problems. It is mainly destined for high school (or university) teachers of descriptive geometry and for students too. It can by used in aid of education of conics or by self-study, because it includes many of illustrative pictures and dynamic applets made in the program GeoGebra, which support the written theoretical text. In the work are enumerated definitions, properties and various constructions of individual conics. Further there is their origin as an intersection of a right circular cone (as the case may be of a right circular cylinder) with a plane, their osculating circle and conjugate diameters. Compilation of examples constitutes an addition of this work. The examples have various difficulty and also can serve as a control over got knowledge. Keywords: ellipse, hyperbola, parabola, foci, tangents, normals, construction of conics
