Training of Volunteers inHospice St. Stephen

This thesis sums up the education of voluntaries at Hospic sv. Stepana in Litomerice. It creates the overall picture of trainings that are mandatory and supervisions that follows the voluntaries for the whole time of their activities with this organization. It as well describes the possibilities for every volunteer to educate above mandatory level - workshops, presentations, trainings and more. You will find here my findings based on questionnaire with volunteers and their opinions about education opportunities with this organization. The goal of this document is to show the importance of volunteer education in hospice organizations of Czech republic.

Thesis Supervisor Mgr. Ing. Olga Angelovská The thesis titled "The Hospice Care Regulation in the Czech Republic" is about hospice care in the Czech Republic of its development due to the following important foreign and Czech documents in health and social care. The main reason that leads me to the elaboration of this work is particularly ambiguous and rather one-sided definition of hospice palliative care in the Czech Republic in terms of health care. In the analysis and evaluation, which is the main part of the paper I will draw on already existing documents and data that relate to the topic immediately. Another integral part of the consultation and discussion with experts from the ranks of both health and social services in providing care face barriers that currently has inadequate definition of the operation itself. The aim of the thesis is the analysis of documents and data relating to the regulation of hospice care in the Czech Republic, and their subsequent reflection of professionals who care about the issue of dying deal in their working lives. The attitude of helping workers in hospice facility to death and their way of handling stress.

The bachelor thesis deals with attitudes to death among helping professionals in the hospice centres and their way of coping with stress. The theoretical part consists of four main chapters. The first chapter is purely devoted to attitudes towards death, where terms such as attitude or death are described. Briefly outlined is how death guides us through life and also the taboo of death issue is mentioned. The second chapter focuses on palliative care. What is the definition, how is it provided, who provides it and at the end of this chapter I mentioned the resources of palliative care. The third chapter deals directly with the hospice facility and the hospice care itself. It introduces the hospice movement, the first Czech experience with hospice facilities and the service workers of palliative and hospice care. The last chapter is about coping with stress, where the symptoms of stress, burnout and coping strategies are described. In the research part of the thesis a qualitative research is used, which is based on semi-structured interviews from 6 employees in a selected hospice facility. The main research question is following: 'What are the attitudes to death among helping workers in the selected hospice centre and what is their way of coping with stress? "
Care for the Dying in Hospice Facilities

This Thesis deals with the issue of illness and dying, and the care for the dying in different hospice facilities. In describes typical features of palliative medicine, it´s practical use in hospices and also the lack thereof in current Czech Medicine. The legislative side of this issue is discussed in this thesis as well.
