Business Plan for the Establishment of Hookah Bar

This diploma thesis deals with the creation of a business plan for setting up an hookah bar. The thesis consist of several parts – theoretical, analytical and practical. In the theoretical part, the basic term and definitions are described and defined. In the analytical part is analyzed the current situation in the market using theoretical knowledge and the practical part is the whole realization of the business plan itself.

Goal of this thesis is to design and implement a new information system for Para Bellum Lounge company, situated in Brno focusing on hookah experience and selling alcoholic drinks. The output of this thesis are 3 applications: A Windows 11 desktop application acting as a cash register. A web application displaying reservation system. And finally, a web API service positioned between the cash register and an application database.
Electronic controlled glow for water hookah

This bachelor thesis deals with the substitution of a standard charcoal heating system for an electronically-controlled heating element in a hookah. The heating element temperature is regulated by the Atmel microprocessor, depending on the temperature specified by an user. The user can adjust the desired temperature on a control panel, where also the actual temperature of the heating element will be displayed.
Comparison of hookah, electronic cigarette and classic cigarettes in regard to emitted particles

This master’s thesis is focusing on the research of chosen smoking types and their comparison in regard to emitted particles. Aerosol created during smoking represents a serious threat for human health. For purposes of this work an experimental set-up was constructed in the Laboratory of Aerosol Research at BUT FME and experiments simulating smoking process were carried out. The results of these experiments are presenting objective information about the constitution of produced aerosol which enters smoker’s lungs. There are many myths about the harmful effects of different types of smoking. The goal of this work is to verify and resolve these myths and set the foundation for possible upcoming research in this area.
The harmfulness of the hookah and the factors that affect it

In the recent period teahouses have been gaining a lot of traction and with them comes more and more consumers of hookahs. A lot of people perceive hookah smoking as less harmful to your body than cigarette smoking. The first part of this bachelor’s thesis consists of literature retrieval that deals with particles arising from hookah consumption and their deposition in the lungs, what is their influence on the human body and subsequently measurement methods that are used in practice. The aim of this work was to find out which factors influence the emitting particles that are produced by hookah consumption. The practical part deals with the construction of a measuring line for the aerosol that is produced when smoking a hookah. Subsequently, the influence of water, coconut and high-flammable coals on the resulting aerosol was investigated.
