Voice education in adult choir

The goal of the bachelor thesis is to explain the importance of voice education in adult choirs. In the introduction of the thesis, the historical developments of voice education and the physiology of the vocal tract are briefly described. Later, the issues of singing posture, breath support and warm up are examined. The terms consonant, vocal, vocal register and resonance are explained. The thesis continues with introducing breath and vocal exercises to strengthen the main vocal attributes. These exercises are suitable for all voice types. The last topic of the theoretical part is vocal hygiene. The basic preventive measures to ensure the longevity of the vocal apparatus: regeneration, nutrition, voice care prior to a performance. The core of the thesis is the research part, which itself consists of two parts. The first one includes interviews with vocal teachers. The interviews were held in person with a list of prepared questions. The content of the interviews revolves around the issues of warm up, frequently occurring vocal problems and integration of new choir members. The second part examines voice education approaches in three chosen Czech amateur choirs. This analysis is done based on personal observations of the choirs' rehearsals. Voice preparation of future teachers and its conection with theater education

Bachelor thesis is focused on voice preparation of future teachers and its connection with theatre resp. drama education. This work contains theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part introduces the topic of the sound side of language, voice hygiene and voice preparation of future teachers. At the same time it focuses on connection with drama education and its introducing into teaching. Second part of the work focuses on practical research which contains interview about voice preparation of teachers who work in practice. In addition, attention is paid here to the part of the respondents' statement on possible suggestions for connecting voice training and drama education in the teaching of future teachers.
Choirs in Prachatice

The bachelor thesis deals with choirs in Prachatice. It theoretically describes the choirs, presents their history, types of choirs and the personality of the choirmaster. It also deals with vocal defects and voice disorders and related vocal hygiene. In the next part of the work it describes the history of Prachatice and its development. Finally, the thesis deals with the choirs in Prachatice, focusing on their history, current activities, choirmasters and the repertoire of the choirs.
Vocal music education at elementary schools with the focus on the first year students

This diploma thesis focuses on voice training of pupils in the first grade of the elementary school. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses music and voice education, specifics and particulars of children's voices. The major part is devoted directly to specific skills that form the base of a correct singing technique. This part of the thesis also includes a short summary of the mechanics of voice formation that every teacher should know. The goal of the practical part of the thesis is to assemble a collection of exercises focused on breathing, voice and articulation issues of children. The collection should help especially the beginner music teachers to find various types of exercise and implement them in practice. All the listed exercises could become an inseparable part of music education at the elementary school.
Hygiene of voice in teaching

The present bachelor thesis deals with vocal hygiene in the teaching profession. It consists of two parts the theoretical one and the practical one. The theoretical part is focused on the voice production and physiology of the vocal tract. It also pursues voice properties, problems and disorders. An important chapter of the thesis is dedicated to taking care of the vocal cords. In the teaching profession, the voice is a key communication tool. Therefore, it is substantial to follow not only proper vocal hygiene but also proper vocal techniques as teachers are at the same time models for the learners. In the practical part, the author analysed a questionnaire by means of which she inquired teachers' awareness related to vocal hygiene.
Vocal hygiene of educator of leisure time

In this bachelor thesis I present the concept of voice hygiene in the profession of leisure time educator, inform about the physiological construction of voice, its creation, disorders and I also describe methods preventing these disorders. The goal is to describe the concept of voice hygiene and clarify the possible prevention of voice disorders, as the leisure time educator's speech must be exemplary for his pupils. The practical part deals with the research of awareness about these issues among leisure time educators.
Development of a Child's Voice and its Musicality

The aim of the thesis is to describe methods which may be applied to develop a child's voice and its musicality within the first grade of a primary school. The thesis should be used as an inspirational teaching aid for teachers. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is based on scholarly literature and deals with voice hygiene, proper technique of singing (breathing, posture, non-overstraining of voice). Peripherally it also mentions voice disorders and proper voice preparation for singing. I would like to transfer (apply) the knowledge gained in the theoretical part into an elaborately developed theme plan in the practical part. The conclusion of the theoretical part deals with the development of child's rhythmic creativity. The practical part includes a theme plan compiled for the peroid fo a school year. I tis arranged according to particular months and embraces the description of various activities, which are used to fill each music lesson whithin the period of a school year.
