Observing and analyzing this process provide information about medication administration errors and the factors influencing them. As a result of observational findings, we can create interventions to improve the administration process. Aim: The aim of this work was to describe and analyze medication administration errors in a healthcare facility. Methods: The direct observation method was used for observation. Data collection took place in three departments (surgery, neurology, follow-up care) in 2021 and 2022. In both years, collection took place in each department on 3 consecutive days. Morning, midday and evening medication administration was monitored. An electronic database was used for recording. Methods: The data was collected from the 29th of September to the 13th of October 2021, in a hospital located in the Hradec Králové region. Three departments were chosen for observation. For this reason, the analysis and detection of medication problems make a significant contribution to improving patient care and increasing patient safety. Objective: To describe and analyse the most common medication problems encountered in a healthcare facility during administration of medication by a nurse. Methodology: A prospective multicentre observational study was conducted in July 2021 in a hospital in the South Bohemian region. Using the direct observation method, medication errors occurring during medication dispensing by a nurse were monitored in three wards of the hospital. Over six days, the research team collected data from selected hospital wards and entered them into an online database to further assess the problems encountered and prevention measures were developed using descriptive statistics. Background: Currently, more emphasis is placed on quality and safe health care. At the medical facility, the nurse is responsible for administration of medications. Mistakes that may occur during administration may reduce the quality of health care delivery. For this reason, is important to minimize the occurrence of these doubts. Aim: The aim of the diploma is to describe and analyze the most common medication errors occurring in medical facilities during drug administration by nurses. Methods: This is a prospective observational study using direct observation. Nurses were administered medication in three hospital departments in the Czech Republic. Data collection took place for three following days at the Department of Internal Medicine, Surgery and Aftercare in July 2021. The data are recorded in a form. A medical social worker in the health care facilities

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of medical social work in health care facilities and its position in an interdisciplinary team that is necessary in providing quality and comprehensive patient care. The first part generally characterizes the specifics of the profession and content of competences and activities of medical social worker. It also describes interdisciplinary teamwork. The practical part focuses on data analysis detected through semistructured interview in-depth semistructured interview and realized with five medical social workers in the health care facility Hospital České Budějovice, a.s. Research results show that the hospital provides quality and comprehensive patient care. The quality of provided care could be higher by introducing supervision, increasing the number of medical social workers and removing of technical barriers in communication and information transfer.
Cost Management in a Chosen Health Care Facility

Goal: On the base of analysis of cost make suggestion for effective data assimilation for added value in health care facility. Introduction: Every manager needs tools to manage company which help him to lead company to prosperity. There are direct tools as comands, meetings, etc. and indirect tools, for example economic management. Economic management includes whole line of elements which in their cohesion are integral part of every business, for example controlling, cost management, dealing with short term-assets, management accouting, investment decisions, financial analysis, material incentives. Recently every company focuses its management attention to cost management. We often meet such efforts to reduce costs, which in fact cal lead to damage in short-time or long-time period. In my thesis I will analyse main traps which managers confront while working in chosen health care facility. I will also describe more flexibile access to management costs which provides company with stable and tenable position in global market conditions. Achieving maximal outcomes from company resources and all at once minimalize costs is still one of main strategic target of company.
