Applying Functional Behavioral Assessment at Kindergarten for Children with Communication Disorder

The diploma thesis is specially pedagogical and deals with the possibilities of applying functional behavioral assessment at kindergarten for children with communication disorder. The theoretical part describes the given issue of communication disorder and the development of the child's social-emotional skills. The theoretical part also describes the problem behavior and the concept of functional behavior assessment. The practical part deals with four case studies of preschool children with repetitive problem behavior. The purpose of the qualitative research is to verify the applying functional behavior assessment at kindergarten for children with communication disorder. The main research question of the diploma thesis is to find the possibilities of using the principles of functional behavioral assessment in the chosen kindergarten for children with communication disorder. The research investigates which the behavior of children considered by the pedagogical staff of the selected kindergarten to be problem behavior. The research further investigates whether functional behavior assessment helps to educators reduce the children's problem behavior and how they themselves apply the principles of functional behavior assessment. Functional Behavioral Assessment of Pupils with an Inappropriate Behavior

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of inappropriate behavior of pupils in school and presents a functional behavior assessment (FBA) as a tool for the diagnosis and intervention. The theoretical part focuses on defining the basic concepts and principles related to inappropriate behavior and the FBA. The empirical part, which takes the form of a qualitative research survey, is dedicated to the creation of the functional behavior assessment of a pupil with manifestations of inappropriate behavior, based on which recommendations and intervention procedures are formed directly for the pupil, pupils of the class and teachers.
Using Functional Behavioral Assessment in Pupils with ADHD at Primary School

My diploma thesis deals with the current topic and problem of pupils with ADHD at the first stage of Primary Futher, diagnostic and subsequent intervention approaches to such pupils using Functional Behavior Analysis. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is devoted to the topic of ADHD, the second part is focused on Functional Behavior Analysis (FACH). In the empirical part, we verified how the cooperation between teacher and student with ADHD takes place at the 1st stage of elementary school. The practical part is processed on the basis of a qualitative research survey, in which I chose the FACH method, to create interventions. This is action research. The aim of the research was to use and verify the diagnostic and interventional approach of FACH in the work of teachers with pupils with ADHD.
Problematic behavior of pupils with autism and moderate mental retardation

This diploma thesis focuses on the topic of problematic behaviour of pupils with autism and medium mental retardation in an educational process. The main aim of this work is to learn about and describe teaching staff's experience with the occurrence and ways of handling problematic behaviour of these pupils. The theoretical part describes the basic terms related to autism, mental retardation and it also outlines a historical context of autism, etilogy, its classification and characteristic symptoms. The thesis also focuses on the diagnostic process in the psychological and pedagogical diagnostics, an overview of basic obligatory diagnostic tools is provided. It deals with the legislative framework of the education of pupils with autism and medium mental retardation, it describes the most common educational methods and therapeutic approaches in special schools. Next chapter defines the term problematic behaviour, outlines the diagnostic evaluations and some specific approaches to correcting such behaviour.
