Study of Optical Properties and Interference Phenomena on Thin Films of Organic Mcaterials
Schmiedová, Veronika ; Čeppan, Michal (referee) ; Mistrík, Jan (referee) ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (advisor)
Ph.D. thesis is focused on the study and determination of layer thickness and optical properties, such as the dispersion dependence of the refractive index of various materials prepared in the form of thin layer. In the first part of this work the theoretical findings in the field of spectroscopic ellipsometry are summarised. These findings are followed by the description and characterization of the light polarization, evaluation of experimental data and determination of the physical properties of studied materials. Experimental and result section of this work is devoted to the preparation and characterization of thin films of the studied materials: titanum dioxide (TiO2), new organic materials (MDMO-PPV, PCDTBT, PCBTDPP, PC60BM, PC70BM) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO). These were all selected with respect to their potential use in the organic photovoltaics.
Photovoltaics in architecture
Bidlová, Jitka ; Kyselka, Mojmír (referee) ; Budkeová, Branislava (referee) ; Chybík, Josef (referee) ; Urbášková, Hana (advisor)
Nowadays there are more and more installations of renewable sources of energy. One of them is changing of sunlight into electric energy by using photovoltaic cells. Installation of photovoltaic systems into buildings and landscape is becoming modern approach to architecture and urbanism. It creates new architectonic expression - "solar design" and brings not only the energy profit but successful substitution for traditional materials and its usable properties.
Design of transit bus
Semerák, Jan ; Pelikán, František (referee) ; Zvonek, Miroslav (advisor)
The diplom work is focused on the design of transit bus. I pointed out two aim: design from the view of future the perspektive; environmental drive and create timeless bus design, which should be correspond with the drive of near future. It was chosen the most ecological drive with help of hydrogen and fuel cells. This drive was developed in detail. Like reserve and helpful energy source was used ultrakapacitors and fotovoltaic cells. Bus design tries to realize the future requirement of carriers and regarding to its oscillating along big cities so represent with its design the used drived unit. The internal ordering of interior tries to realize the together and future reguirements on the sit ergonomics, store of bagages, hygienic requirements and good lookout of passengers. The name and logo of transit bus arrise from reference to fuell, environment and fuell cell.
Study of optoelectronic and electrooptic properties of organic semiconductors
Ovesný, Karel ; Horák, Michal (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the experimental examination of the materials and arrangement of layers, which can form an organic photovoltaic cells. Primarily are studied the properties of layers on PET underlays, which consist of thin active DPP layer.
Modeling of solar power station parameters in GIS
Kučera, Josef ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
The work deals with the modeling of the parameters of solar power plants and the issue of solar energy with its use in the photovoltaic power plants. It uses the geographic information system named ArcGIS. In the beginning of the work, there is the theory. This theory is necessary to understanding the function of the photovoltaic cells, from the beginning to the photovoltaic panels construction. There were analyzed the conditions of the location of the photovoltaic panels in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the work approaches the ArcGIS and its 3D modeling possibilities. The part of the work deals with the proposal for the selection process of the most suitable location to the photovoltaic panels installing. The main part of the work is the visualization of the 3D models of the locations of interest.
Influence of thermal stress on volume and surface resistance of material
Rohel, Tomáš ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
This document describes the methods to test and measure the protective glasses used in solar panels. The next part of the dissertation covers the evolve summary for the norms of degradation tests. The purpose of this research is to scale the volume and surface electric resistivity of selected materials, as well as, specify the supposed durability of these materials. Evaluation of these features proceeds after enhanced aging by the use of dry heat. Samples of these materials were prepared with the cooperation of the company Solartec s.r.o
Renewable Energy Source
Fojtíková, Marcela ; Škvařil, Jan (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is concerned with the usage of renewable power sources. It sheds light on the matter of solar energy, function of photovoltaic cells and photovoltaic panels. It presents us with a closer look on the photovoltaic power plant in Syrovice and essential technological equipment of such facility.
Utilization of Plasmonic Structures for Improvement of Photovoltaic Devices
Hrtoň, Martin ; Dub, Petr (referee) ; Břínek, Lukáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with absorption and scattering features of periodically arranged golden and silver nanospheres. Using numerical simulations and analytical computations the shape of the electromagnetic field at the plasmonic nanostructure was found. Further, possibilities of a utilization of the periodical arrangement in photovoltaic devices were discussed.
Solar production of electricity
Špiláček, Michal ; Hejčík, Jiří (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
In this bachelor’s thesis are mentioned basic methods how to convert solar radiation into electric energy. Shortly introducing the origin of solar radiation and its subsequent lightening of the Earth surface. Then is here the history of photovoltaic and principle of function of photovoltaic cells. In next chapters are mentioned a variety of cells, construction of photovoltaic panels and methods, how to increase their productivity. In the following chapters are mentioned basic thermal cycles used for indirect conversion of solar radiation into electric energy, their usage in various applications. At last, here are mentioned ways of using the gained electric energy both from direct and indirect conversion.
