Computation of race car aerodynamics
Vančura, Jan ; Šálený, Vratislav (referee) ; Porteš, Petr (advisor)
The main subject of this diploma thesis is computation of race car aerodynamics. It describes composition method of CFD model with utilization of 3D scanner ATOS and CAD software Pro Engineer. During creating this diploma thesis were found influences of additional aerodynamics components of racing car on globally axle loads.
Evolution of the Lancia Sport Cars
Čech, Martin ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This thesis deals with the development of Lancia sports and racing cars. The main goal is to clarify design solutins, described them and do an analysis. Alternatively to compare how the competition dealt with the problem. The first part outlines the emergence of car factory and briefly describes the first cars, their design and especially the innovative features. In the second part two successful racing cars from the racing field are decribed and analyzed in detail.
Lotus sport cars

This thesis is trying to describe the development of Lotus sports car. The aim of the project is delineate development and construction of sport cars. The first part outlines is about history of the company of Lotus from establishment to today. Followed by second part of work, were are in detail discussed successful cars of Lotus Company, which are divided to the branch of their function - sport cars, Formula 1 cars and racing specials for 500 mil Indianapolis.
Design and Manufacturing of a Blade Stabilizer for Formula Student
Marko, Tibor ; Zemčík, Oskar (referee) ; Slaný, Martin (advisor)
The master´s thesis discuss about design and manufacture of blade stabilizer. It will be sets limit conditions for design blade and subsequent analysis of effects of stress and strain on the rod of blade and assembly of the stabilizer in various settings. For manufacturing of blade it will design materiál of the blank, manufacturing proces and machining conditions with the choice of cutting tools nad cutting machine. In conclusion will be comparison blades from formulas of last years from monopost Dragon 2 to Dragon 6.
Race Car Suspension, Springing, Damping
Šťastný, Jan ; Zháňal, Lubor (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
The main subject of this bachelor project is overview of suspension, springing and damping methods structural design in racing car. Attention is payed especially to automotive races which are under sponsorship of ACR (Autoclub of Czech Republic). Firstly is placed issue which notify main sort and princip of suspension, springing and damping function. In the next chapter is summary of technological restrictions and prescripts for racing car structural design. Next chapter refers about the most used types of structural designs for given competition. The last chapter considers development trend of suspension, springing and damping systems in racing cars.
Car chassis diffuser
Kindl, Albert ; Balko, Marek (referee) ; Rudolf, Pavel (advisor)
Improving a car's aerodynamic properties can save fuel, increase range, or improve speed and handling. To achieve this, aerodynamic modifications and improvements are proposed to cars. The aim of this thesis is to describe a diffuser on an automotive chassis. The focus is mainly on the effect of its divergence angle on drag and lift. These dependencies are investigated on a simplified car model using CFD simulation in Ansys Fluent. The research section discusses the diffuser flow and losses, other important aerodynamic features and the importance of the diffuser in Formula 1 and passenger cars. The results of the thesis show the significant effect of the diffuser on the downforce and drag of the vehicle and indicate the important position of this element in the future of the automotive industry.
Mathematical Model of F1 Engine According to 2026 Rules
Koudelík, Jiří ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis is focused on the issue of the rules for the power units of Formula 1 cars and the desing of the mathematical model of the F1 engine according to the rules valid from 2026. The first part of the work is devoted to the rules for the current power units and their comparison with the new rules. The second part of the work is devoted to the creation of a mathematical model in the Lotus Engine Simulation environment.
Comparison of the diet of infants when using 4 formulas (Sunar, Nestle, Hipp, Nutricie)
KUBÁTOVÁ, Veronika
The bachelor's thesis entitled "Comparison of infant diets using four baby formulas" is aimed at comparing the nutritional content of four commercial baby formulas and evaluating the real world consumption of nutrients and micronutrients by infants who are fed with these specific formulations. In this thesis, two specific questions were considered: 1) "What is the nutritional difference between these four baby formulas?" and 2) "Which of these four baby formulas most closely matches the nutritional profile of breast milk?" There are two parts to this thesis. The first part focuses on theoretical information while the second part deals with practical information. The theoretical portion deals with issues including the nutritional needs of infants, breastfeeding, breast milk, and the use of baby formulas. The practical portion used qualitative research into the diets of infants. The research sample consisted of 12 infants using the formulas. The infants were divided into four groups of three. Each group used a different formula during the three days research period. The mothers recorded the quantities consumed by their babies, and the information was recorded and evaluated in the Nutriservis Professional program. The practical portion also includes a table showing the ingredients and nutritional information of each of the four formulas. This information was taken from the manufacturer's product labels. The results of this research are presented in tabular form. The results are compared with the nutritional recommendations for infants as detailed in the publication "Referenční hodnoty pro příjem živin (2011)." Furthermore, the nutritional composition of each of the formulas is compared with the nutritional composition of breast milk according to "Referenční hodnoty pro příjem živin (2011)." The results show that all the infants in the study exceeded the recommended daily allowance of certain nutritents and micronutrients by many times. My conclusion is that breast milk remains the best source of nutrition for infants. This bachelor's thesis may be used as an information source for medical students, expectant mothers, and mothers with babies.
