Quality of Food and Beverage Facilities in Prague from the Customer’s Perspective

This bachelor thesis deals with the quality of food and beverage facilities in Prague and is focused on this topic from the customer`s point of view. The first part characterises the basic types and functions of hospitality services as well as their evaluation. Further the thesis deals with the theory of questionnaire construction and provides the summary of the most famous restaurant reference guides. The main aim of the thesis is to analyze the perception of quality of food and beverage services by the chosen segments of clients. To accomplish this goal, a questionnaire was used. This questionnaire was made to test the hypotheses that were set in andvance. The result of the research reveals the differences in consumer behaviour as well as the dissimilarities in evaluation of food and beverage services in Prague by Czech and foreign customers.
Quality of food and beverage services in Prague

The bachelor thesis deals with the quality of food and beverage services and demonstrates its importance using the example of food and beverage services provided in Prague. The aim of the thesis is to assess the importance of quality in the field of gastronomy. The first chapter characterises the main terms related to gastronomy and quality. The second chapter deals with the legislation for this field. Worldwide recognised standards and also the Czech legislation are depicted there. The next part of the thesis briefly introduces the main gastronomy guide books. The last chapter of the theoretical part focuses on the network of the food and beverage facilities in Prague including the possibilities of their monitoring and inspection. The chapter contains update results of the monitoring of the appropriate authorities. The key part of the thesis is a primary research which was conducted among the visitors of food and beverage facilities in Prague. The result of the research is the assessment of the main aspects of quality of Prague gastronomy, revelation of particular detects and a subsequent proposal of measures to improve the quality of Czech gastronomy in Prague.
Analysis of Hospitality Facilities on a Selected Tourist Trail

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of hospitality facilities on a selected tourist trail. It is divided into four chapters. First chapter is devoted to the importance of catering and accommodation services in tourism and to the division of food and beverage and accommodation facilities. Seconde chapter describes the region Bohemian Paradise, the Protected Landscape Area, and the town Turnov as the heart of the Bohemian Paradise. Third chapter includes the description of the Bohemian Paradise Gold Trail and the most popular tourist attractions situated on the selected part of the trail. But this chapter mostly focuses on the analysis of food and beverage and accommodation facilities on this part of the trail and detailed comparison of two chosen restaurants and hotels. The last chapter sums up findings and gives recommendations.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the quality of hospitality services. It aims to assess the quality of food and beverage facilities in Prague. In the first part, food and beverage facilities and their importance for tourism are characterised there. The second point discussed in this part is quality and its assessment in the hospitality industry. Worldwide recognised standards, claims on the quality set by the legislation in the Czech republic and several restaurant guides and their appraisal of quality are described there. The assessment of the quality of hospitality services in Prague is contained in the second part. For this assessment the results of the controls of food and beverage facilities in Prague and own questionnaire survey were used.
Analysis of food and beverage facilities at University of Economics in Prague Žižkov

This bachelor thesis describes public food and beverage services. It focuses on school catering, its development, characteristics and importance. The main topic of the thesis is to compare 6 food and beverage facilities at the University of Economics in Prague Žižkov: university canteen Italská, Pizza VŠEm, Academic Club, snack-bar at the Rajská building, buffet at the New building and restaurant at the New building. The objective was to analyze these facilities and find out the students'opinios about the quality, prices and personnel trough questionnaires.
