The main aim of thisbachelor thesis is an analysis of offers of short-term and long-term deposits of selected financial institutions operating in the market in the Czech Republic and their subsequent comparison.The thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical.The theoretical part describes and characterizes financial institutions, differences between short-term and long-term deposits, basic terms related to the term deposits and calculations important to determine the revenues. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with mapping of offers of term deposits of individual financial institutions in the market in the Czech Republic.The practical part is focused on the comparison of revenues from deposits of selected financial institutions in the Czech Republic.The result is a recommendation of the best term deposit in accordance with given requirements.
The legal protection of clients of financial intitutions

The legal protection of clients of financial institutions Abstract The first chapter focuses on the definition of basic concepts essential to the subject of this work. Emphasis was placed on defining the term of client in relation to the notion of a customer who is often used in positive law at both European and national level. Furthermore, the concept of consumer is defined, which is a generally used category of customers and is offered the highest legal protection. The notion of financial institution and the concept of legal protection are also important in defining the scope of this work. Given the diversity of the current financial services market, in the rest of my thesis I have focused only on the most important providers of financial services and the legislation governing their activities. The concept of legal protection is defined in the sense of division into institutional and normative legal protection, with the focus being on normative protection. The aim of the second chapter was to describe the basic aspects of two complementary principles of law as the theoretical basis of legal protection of clients, which are the concept of autonomy of will and the protection of the weaker party. Evaluation of employee’s motivation in a financial institution

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the motivation of employees in a financial institution in the context of financial institutions in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. Thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part are described the theories of motivation and connection of motivation with stimulation. Furthermore, the theoretical part focuses on human resources management, evaluation and forms of rewards. The practical part contains a description of the financial institution and competitors in the financial market. A large part of the practical part consists of evaluation of the survey and comparison of the results with theoretical knowledge. At the end of the practical part, the recommendations and suggestions for improvements of the aspects of employee's motivation are listed.
The taxation of financial sector

The diploma thesis deals with the taxation of financial institutions focused on European Union. The thesis provides a short view on the inception of financial crisis in USA and the costs spent by national governments on rescue of systemic important institutions on the market. The history of banking tax concept is briefly summarized on theoretical level and also two real historical examples of taxation in financial sector are provided. The main part of the work is focused on the current proposal of European Commission and the impact of its implementation. The practical part of diploma thesis is based on particular model examples how this proposal would work in practice.

The aim of the thesis is to determine the value of Citfin, spořitelní družstvo to date 31.12.2013 for the purpose of strategic decision regarding the future functioning concept of the coop. The work includes a profile of the cooperative followed by financial and strategic analysis. Financial plan is based on the findings from the financial and strategic analysis. The valuation is based on asset analysis, additionally on yield analysis and market comparison.
The Financial Arbiter in the Czech Republic

The presented thesis provides us with a brief excursion into the organizational structure of the Office of the Financial Arbiter, mainly deals with the origin and development of this institute. These include the legal definition of its scope, method of establishment and termination of the institute, requirements for the performance of the Financial Arbitrator and his deputy. Broader opportunities in these areas are engaged in the first chapter. The second chapter is the introduction of practical outputs of the decision-making activities of the Financial Arbiter. Most often it is a fee disputes, disputes regarding the validity of the contract or compliance with its provisions, as well as disputes in the area of payments, life insurance and foreign exchange activities. The conclusion evaluates the long-term benefits of the institute of the Financial Arbitrator and outlined its future development.
Comparison of loyalty programs in selected financial institutions

This bachelor thesis focuses on loyalty programs of three financial institutions operating on the Czech market -- those three include Česká spořitelna, Era (the trademark of ČSOB Group) and GE Money Bank. The first part deals with the theory of marketing with a focus on loyalty programs. In the second part, the selected companies are described and their loyalty programs are analysed. The third part focuses on the aim of this thesis -- the comparison of selected loyalty programs and recommendation of optimal settings for a loyalty program.
Mechanisms for resolution of bank crisis

This diploma thesis deals with mechanisms which can be used to resolve crisis of a bank. The first chapter introduces the reader to essential theoretical background and basis for following chapters. The second chapter describes and analyzes measures used by governments to support their financial sectors in 2008 -- 2012. The first part of third chapter deals with insolvency regimes for banks and general description of new recovery and resolution regimes. The other part of third chapter contains qualitative analysis of recovery and resolution regimes adopted by European Union member states in the form of BRRD. Final chapter analyzes on the sample of ten systematically important banks applicability of bail-in tool to resolution of their crisis.
Taxation of financial institutions

The submitted diploma thesis deals with the taxation of financial institutions, focusing on current trends in this field. Its aim is to analyze and compare implemented forms of taxation of financial institutions in selected countries. The first chapter provides the analysis of taxation of financial institutions in the Czech Republic and focuses on the specifics related to corporate income tax and value added tax. The second chapter discusses the approach to the taxation of financial institutions in selected countries where the focus is on the financial stability contribution, financial activities tax and financial transaction tax. The third chapter deals with the development of the implementation of the financial transaction tax in the European Union. Moreover, briefly describes the process of these discussions and examines the current proposal for a Council Directive implementing enhanced cooperation in the area of financial transaction tax. The thesis also contains an approximate prediction of tax revenues in case that the Czech Republic implemented the European financial transaction tax.
Document digitalization in the financial institution

The goal of the thesis is description of document digitalization in one of the big financial institution in the Czech Republic, discovery of disadvantages of current state and suggestion of measures and recommendations for improvement. Since 2008 I'm employed in this financial institution so I can use the point of view either of employee or student of applied informatics. I can use theoretical knowledge and practical experience in one person this view should be one of the benefits of the thesis. As the next benefit we can include an option of use of mentioned measures and recommendations for the management of financial institution. These measures and recommendations can improve labor productivity not just in process of digitalization. The thesis is divided into eight chapters in which I deal with the common facts about digitalization, reasons for implementation, risks, means of realization and recognition technologies used for digitalization. Then I introduce the financial institution, I point to disadvantages of current state, I mention reasons for digitalization, it's schedule, desired state, accepted measures and practical examples. In the end I recommend measures either for digitalization or enterprise content management and informational technologies.
