Secure Network Based on Virtual Next-Generation Firewall
Varmus, Pavol ; Burda, Karel (referee) ; Malina, Lukáš (advisor)
The bachelors thesis aims to study the issue of security of the networks that use firewalls. The next goal is to evaluate the characteristics of a different types of firewalls and to summarize its results. The other object is to design a small or medium sized network with description of best practice. The main objective of the thesis is to design a lecture task for students to test with a step-by-step solution. This task is for students to undertand the importance of firewalls as a network protection service tools and to try out different types of filters for maintainin network security. The task ends with a practical stress test made by a network attack in order to see its resistance to the attack.
Inference of DDoS Mitigation Rules
Jacko, Daniel ; Tisovčík, Peter (referee) ; Žádník, Martin (advisor)
This thesis focuses on DDoS attacks, their types and means of their mitigation. The aim of the thesis is to design and implement an algorithm which would be able to derive rules to block DDoS attacks. For this, we chose the algorithm of machine learning, a decision tree, which starts operating as soon as the attack is detected. The algorithm operates with a sample of data detected during the attack, and with a sample of legitimate communication. A part of this thesis is also a description of a BPF format and an overview of executed experiments.
Comparison of MATLAB and Python with Respect to Mechatronics
Rabčan, Jakub ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Sova, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of instruments Matlab and Python. The aim of this bachelor thesis is comparison of these tools in the diferent areas with regard to utilization in mechatronics. And demonstration task will then be created for these areas.
Automation of DDoS Attack Mitigation
Nagy, Peter ; Podermański, Tomáš (referee) ; Grégr, Matěj (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is automation of DDoS attack mitigation. This thesis provides an overview of GNU/Linux network platforms and different approaches for their configuration. The aim is to select a platform that could be extended to automate DDoS mitigation. DDoS attack types are explained as well. Selected methods for DDoS mitigation are described in more detail such as Remote Triggered Black Hole and BGP Flowspec. Existing tools like DDoS Defender and FastNetMon are used to detect a DDoS attack. NETX was chosen as target implementation platform. To communicate with devices, API or BGP protocol with Flowspec extension are used.
Residential Rainwater Harvesting
Šumichrastová, Mária ; Vendlová, Lucie (referee) ; Wierzbická, Helena (advisor)
The aim of this work is to approach the issue of the use of rainwater in building constructions. This water is widely used for routine activities in the home, which contributes to saving drinking water. At the beginning of my work I focused on what water actually is, and a brief description of each treatment on the basis of their quality. In the first part of about reasons for rainwater management and access to the use of water collection at home and abroad. The second part describes possibilities of application of rainwater in the home. Describes the concept of the need for water, which is essential for the design of the facility. The design of tank is explained in part 3, where I describe the factors affecting the amount of water collected. The following chapters are focusing on individual elements making up the system for the management of rainwater. Chapters are divided according to their function, namely: filter portion, accumulation and a section giving water to the "movement".
Design of the centrifugal device to minimize the albumen in the eggshells
Zakov, Tomáš ; Pernica, Marek (referee) ; Lošák, Pavel (advisor)
Main goal of this bechalor thesis is designing centrifuge to minimize residual albumen from eggshells. Process of designing machine is set by literary research for using individual components in there. Layout further consists from making 3D model of prototype and it‘s mechanical drawings documentation.
Airconditioning of unit with intensive care
Halaj, Andrej ; Uher, Pavel (referee) ; Rubinová, Olga (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with design of hvac units for intensive care unit and its associated facilities. System is separated into two units. Primary device operates rooms with beds of intensive care unit and secondary device operates associated facilities. Terciary device deals with cooling with the help of fancoils. Theory focuses on air filtration, air filters and principles of particle separation.
Interactive web applications supporting image processing lectures
Šuňal, Štefan ; Dorazil, Jan (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
Main goal of this thesis is to design web applications focused on support of education in field of image processing, specifically image filtering, dithering, resampling and step-by-step convolution. It contains explanation of used methods and their practical application. Final part of the thesis describes design and implementation of each application in JavaScript.
Respirator filtration efficiency
Tolnaj, Tomáš ; Mišík, Ondrej (referee) ; Bělka, Miloslav (advisor)
Aerosols are everywhere around us and pose an increasing risk to human health. That is why aerosols and their filtration are the subject of several researches. This bachelor thesis focuses on established standards for respirator testing according to the European standard and factors influencing their filtration efficiency. The research also includes a description of the theoretical background of aerosols, the physical principles of deposition, a detailed description of respirators. The thesis contains an experimental part, which consists of designing, assembling and setting up the experimental rig with subsequent measurement of the filtration efficiency, pressure loss and evaluation of the measured results.
