Methods of Document Summarization on the Web
Belica, Michal ; Očenášek, Pavel (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
The work deals with automatic summarization of documents in HTML format. As a language of web documents, Czech language has been chosen. The project is focused on algorithms of text summarization. The work also includes document preprocessing for summarization and conversion of text into representation suitable for summarization algorithms. General text mining is also briefly discussed but the project is mainly focused on the automatic document summarization. Two simple summarization algorithms are introduced. Then, the main attention is paid to an advanced algorithm that uses latent semantic analysis. Result of the work is a design and implementation of summarization module for Python language. Final part of the work contains evaluation of summaries generated by implemented summarization methods and their subjective comparison of the author.
Sentiment Analysis of Czech and Slovak Social Networks and Web Discussions
Sojka, Matěj ; Dočekal, Martin (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
Thanks to digitalization, the spread of opinions in the population has accelerated sharply in the recent years, however the need to understand them has not changed. The goal of this thesis was to create a system for automatic data collection from social media and web discussions and sentiment analysis in Czech and Slovak language. The system has a web interface for visualizing results and configuring data analysis. The system is capable of offering topics to the user that it considers to occur in the selected data and group posts based on user-defined opinions.

Automated web information extraction
Smotrila, Tomáš ; Mráz, František (advisor) ; Dokulil, Jiří (referee)
1 Web sites offer a huge amount of information. Often it is a page generated from data stored in databases. However, emphasis is placed on the display of information, but not on their machine processing. Part of the thesis is design and implementation of a prototype system to retrieve data from dynamically generated web using programming by demonstration technique. Such a system allows the user to show with mouse to the system how to proceed with gathering information from the website. Based on such a example, the system will derive a procedure to acquire information on similar sites. The implemented system is able to collect user relevant information from similar sites for example in form of a simple table suitable for further machine processing.
