Use of Renewable Energy Sources for Water Recovery
Patera, Jan ; Vojtek, Martin (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with a summary of the basic theory for obtaining water from air humidity and it‘s following treatment in order to meet the hygienic regulations of drinking water. It presents the basic principles usable for obtaining water from the air, also presents the basic principles, including a basic overview of existing equipment for obtaining water from the air. It defines ideal conditions for obtaining water using atmospheric water generators. In a specific locality is determined a proposal for the water yield with energy performance during the year. Furthermore, the work deals with the use of renewable resources in obtaining water and the possibility of its subsequent treatment.
Energy Evaluation of Residential Buildings
Fojtů, Pavel ; Horák, Petr (referee) ; Vendlová, Lucie (advisor)
This master thesis offers two cost-saving measures to reduce the energy consumption of a residential building. These measure include insulation of the building envelope, domestic hot water by solar colectors and heat recovery.
Energy self-sufficiency residential units
Orlová, Lenka ; Škorpík, Adam (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis deals with the special community way of living in the residential unit called cohousing. The aim of the practical part is to define the possibillities of the heat and electrical supply to the cohousing by the renewable energy, make a price calculation and specify the return of the investment.
Dry ice blasting for surface cleaning
Horňák, David ; Konečná, Eva (referee) ; Máša, Vítězslav (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with dry ice blasting, which belongs to modern and effective surface cleaning methods. The websites of various manufactures clearly state that this method is utilized in many industries, but there is a low number of research articles dealing with this cleaning method. The amount of literature that covers the usage of this method in certain industries is also insufficient. For this purpose, systematic overview of dry ice blasting applications in industry is presented based on thorough review of literature. The technology of dry ice blasting including dry ice blasting machine and its individual equipment is also closely introduced. The thesis also includes the characteristic case study of high energy and economic intensity of this process. This study states that 94 % of cleaning expenses is linked with consumption of dry ice. The effective dry ice management is necessary from the economic point of view. Suggested saving measures follow on from these facts. These measures are: • process automation • custom applications • compressor optimization • replacement of compressed air with different form of energy Implementation of these saving measures can help greater extension of dry ice blasting in industrial practise.
Masonry Block of Flats
Šotkovský, David ; Havířová, Zdeňka (referee) ; Lavický, Miloš (advisor)
This Master´s thesis is focused on block of flats project documentation, claims for fire safety and thermal and acoustic properties of structures. The brick building is detached and has three floors without basement. These floors are connected by a lift. The block of flats is based on the footings, external walls are insulated by a contact thermal insulation system. The tent roof is consists of truss in two levels. The building is designed for nine flats and one of these flats is wheelchair accessible. Truss design is also a part of the project.
Technical and economic evaluation of the gas microturbine with the waste heat recovery system
Slovák, Rostislav ; Kilkovský, Bohuslav (referee) ; Máša, Vítězslav (advisor)
The use of gas microturbines as a primary unit in CHP is still weak in the industrial process. It gives the driving force to the main aim of this master thesis, which is the technical and economic evaluation of the gas microturbines waste heat recovery system, which is the key factor for their economic sustainability. Assignment contains description of CHP system that was gradually built in LENP laboratory, part of NETME Centre. The author has joined the final work before start-up of the CHP system. He presents and describes results of the first experiments on this unit. The flue gas of a microturbine was used for heating water by heat exchanger flue gas–water and for direct linen drying. The case study of laundry with capacity 10 tons per shift was developed in cooperation with companies in laundry care. Results of those tests were used to process integration and utilization of this professional industrial laundry All obstacles found and opportunities of the use of microturbines are comprehensively described and tested in case studies, which are simulated in Chemstation Chemcad Software. Results of the thesis are expected to be useful these fields: the use of gas microturbines in industry & energy savings in industrial laundries.
The energy intensity of water acquisition by condensation of air humidity
Hamerský, Tomáš ; Škorpík, Jiří (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The master's thesis deals with actual possibilities of acquisition water from air humidity in order to obtain fresh water, focusing on energy intensity of vapor-compression refrigeration for it is production. There is a basic determine study for Czech climatic zone in selected localities. For graded cooling capacity dependencies describing the acquisition of water from the air, where is the energy intensity ranges on average between 0,3 ÷ 0,5 kWh/l. For the selected family house are set the individual variants of non-potable rainwater management.
Market Research in the Field of Laundry Care Technology
Škrdla, Michal ; Kuba, Pavel (referee) ; Vondra, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with the research of the current offer of household washing machines and driers in the first part. On the basis of this survey, there was made clear list of appliances currently available from all price ranges, including their specifications. The main core of the thesis is an enumeration along with description of modern technologies and features which are essential for the marketing of individual producers. The second part deals in detail with selected technologies of household laundry care, and assesses their usefulness in the professional field.
Possibilities of reducing energy intensity and production of CO2 type objects
Ondruch, Jiří ; Kudela, Libor (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to introduce the issue of energy intensity of buildings. The thesis describes available technologies and ways to reduce energy intensity and CO2 production. In the design part, suitable measures are applied to selected typical buildings, which lead to lower consumption of the building, savings on operation costs and lower CO2 production.
Civil building
Krestýn, Miroslav ; Spáčilová, Jitka (referee) ; Spáčil, Miroslav (advisor)
The diploma thesis titled "Civil building" consists of three main parts. The theoretical, project and calculation sections are created. The common theme of these parts is the assessment of the energy performance of the proposed building. The object is designed as a two-storey office building that meets the current requirements for new construction under the energy certificate. The goal of the work is the design of the optimisation of the building in the form of individual options for energy certificates and their mutual comparison.
