Optimization of Small Electric Machines
Dvořák, Michal ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
Optimization algorithms are highly strong tool for solution of many problems of engeneering practice. They are usually used ,where the solution of given problem by analitics way is strongly unsuitable or unreal. For succesful solution such problems was developed a lot of highly strong algorithms, which alowed solwe dificult problems by efective way. In first part of this work I would like to introduce some optimization methods, their division and application. The next point will be introduction of two programs, which are plentifully used for optimization and each other cooperative together. These programs are ANSYS and MATLAB. In last part I will pay attention to optimization a small electrica machine, which is twelve volts automobile engine starter. On this engine starter I will apply three optimization algorithms and I would try to find corect value of field current for attainment maximum electromagnetic power.
Optimizing design of electric machines using genetic algorithms
Jelének, Marek ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with optimization methods usable in the construction of electrical machines. The main aim of this thesis is propose an optimization method, applied to simple example and evaluate optimized results with not optimized results.
Sensor of air velocity measurement in electrical machines
Vrbický, Jiří ; Houfek, Martin (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and realization of a sensor for measuring of air velocity in electrical machine. The sensor must be able to measure also in places with lack of space.
High-speed outer rotor synchronous machine
Král, Radek ; Knebl, Ladislav (referee) ; Klíma, Petr (advisor)
The master thesis deals with the construction and design of a high-speed synchronous machine with an outer rotor. The thesis is organised into three main chapters. The first chapter deals with machine design theory as well as mechanical limits, which are significant for high speed machines. This chapter also provides examples of applications of these electrical machines. In the second chapter, the initial design of the machine is calculated analytically. This machine design is optimised and the third chapter of this work shows the results of simulations using the finite elements method, including the evaluation of these results.
Design of a measuring device for the study of sliding contact
Havliš, Petr ; Hájek, Vítězslav (referee) ; Veselka, František (advisor)
Subject master´s thesis is design of a measuring device for the study of sliding contact. It including description sliding contact, its importance and application possibilities. Specification of examination possibilities of sliding contact, indicate the possibilities of evaluating the measured results. Design a stationary measuring device for long-term tests of the sliding contact and verify its the basic system concept. Master´s thesis including too elektronic make graphes with courses quantity on real machine.
Cooling of electric machines
Benčo, Branislav ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused to the calculation of cooling of electrical machines by various methods and their subsequent comparison. This work is divided into several chapters in which the methods are described including when and in which cases is suitable for calculation.
INNOVATION ANGLE GRINDER
Záhejský, Petr ; Janda, Marcel (referee) ; Veselka, František (advisor)
This thesis deals with the innovation of angle grinder and with upgrades of operating parameters, particularly the sliding contact. We count the angle grinders among electric hand tools, which are usually used in hard conditions. In the first time the non-functional examples of angle grinders were studied and their defects and the samples of dust were analysed. The aim of the other parts of this thesis was to measure the basic parameters of angle grinders, mainly the behavior of the comutator lamination. The following part is focused on application of teflon into the sliding contact, summarizes the behavior of the sliding contact with the presence of teflon, and describes the basic properties of teflon. The conclusion describes the practical application of teflon on the sliding contact, which is supported by long-term tests.
Evaluating the results of long-term testing of electrical machines
Kocman, Roman ; Kuchyňková, Hana (referee) ; Veselka, František (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis is focused on the service characteristics of electric machines problem, especially with sliding contact. Further, long-term testing evaluation of those machines in operating conditions is presented. The main importance in this bachelor’s thesis is oriented on examination of brush wear size and circles degradation.

Analysis Of Equivalent Thermal Conductivity Of Winding Using Fem-Based Model
Toman, Marek
This paper deals with analysis of equivalent thermal conductivity of winding. Analyticalmethod from literature is described first. Then, the FEM-based model is described, which was createdin order to verify the functionality of the analytical method. Results of the FEM simulations showedthat the analytical method works well.
