The European beaver (Castor fiber) in the Czech landscape - educational project

This bachelor thesis is focused on the formation of an educational program with the topic "The European beaver and his influence on the environment". The work summarizes current knowledge of history, general biology and ecology of this species, as well as information on the impact of beaver on the environment. Further, the educational program with this theme is proposed, in the modifications for the primary, secondary, high schools and university students. Participants of the program will learn about the beaver and its environment. They will learn about his history and about his return to our country. The most important of the educational program is the importance of the European beaver in our landscape and how it affects the surroundings. The tutorial also deals with the relationship between the European beaver and humans. The program was tested in the near the Soumarský most with students of the Ecological and Food High School in Veselí nad Lužnicí.
Practical Activities as a Space of Development of Ecological Thinking of the Pupils of the Primary School

This diploma thesis deals with the development of ecological thinking of the pupils of the primary school under the project teaching within the subject called Practical Activity at elementary schools. The thesis contains ten projects; six of them were put into practice. The first part of the thesis includes theoretical knowledge derived from specialized literature. The theoretical part describes the topics of project teaching, activation teaching methods and technical and ecological education. The second part of the thesis depicts particular projects from the practical point of view. Photographical documentation and reflection from the projects, which were taught, form a part of the practical section of the thesis.
Environmental education and a municipality with extended powers

SUMMARY: Environmental education is not a matter of only educational system but of the integrity of all external influences which affect people in the course of their life. Also state administration plays an important role the basic element of which is a municipality potentially comprising a very important task. The thesis aims to highlight the possibility how state authorities may affect implementation of CEPA with stress on educational system. The thesis is divided into three sections - theoretical, analytic and propositional chapters. The theoretical part focuses on starting situation, progress, goals and tasks of EEA projects and legislation. The analytic part deals with gathered facts and evaluates them from the point of the state of CEPA implementation within the area of a chosen municipality with extended powers. The propositional part contains a SWOT analysis and a proposal of particular measures leading to improvement of the situation and a draft "Concept of CEPA development of the selected municipality with extended powers".

This thesis deals with theme The interest of teachers on the supply of training activities of environmental organizations awareness and interest determines teachers about the possibility of using environmental organizations for the implementation of environmental topics in their teaching . The thesis is divided into two parts , practical and theoretical. The theoretical part defines basic information about environmental and ecological education and offer environmental organizations operating in South Moravian County. The goal of the practical part is to find out what teachers at secondary vocational schools awareness of environmental organizations and if they are interested in the possibility of expanding the teaching of environmental issues through such organizations. Information will be identified by means of checklists . At the conclusion will be an assessment of the results and proposed recommendations for teaching practice.
Význam environmentální výuky poskytované NP Podyjí ve venkovských školách

The diploma thesis analyses the importance of educational programs and environmental education in the rural primary schools. The thesis concentrates on the identification of problems and their solutions within the framework of the educational programs and materials, provided by Správa národního parku Podyjí (Podyjí National Park Administration). The work has used comparative method, questionnaire survey method, SWOT analysis and evaluation applying selected statistical methods. On the basis of reached results the fact can be stated that the importance of environmental education, supported by the national park Podyjí, constitutes a strong contribution to the education of pupils in the selected schools. Other results indicate the lack of educational programs for the second stage of the elementary education and insufficient provision of materials to visit Podyjí national park without guides. On the basis of achieved outputs, the specific forms can be designed to complete the portfolio of environmental programs and materials for the mentioned groups of recipients.

Scouting is considered a versatile educational movement closely connected to nature. Education in Scouting focuses on the whole personality and is implemented in a small group. Nature conservation is a part of the Scout programme since the beginning of the last century. The main goal of the bachelor thesis is a proposal of a weekend stay focused on the ecological education using elements of Scouting. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part contains the clarification of the basic terms Scouting, education, ecology and environmental science, ecological and environmental education, project-based learning. One of the author's component goals is to point to the importance of Scouting for teaching practice, to its connections with individual constituents of education, including ecological and environmental education. The goal of the practical part of the bachelor thesis is the proposal of the weekend stay for students of a selected vocational school, in which mingle elements of Scouting and environmental education. The stay is designed in the form of project-based learning.
Ekogramotnost žáků na vybraných středních odborných školách

This Bachelor thesis deals with environmental literacy of secondary school students. The thesis consists of a theoretical and practical part. The aim of the theoretical part is to define the basic terms of ecology, ecological education, environmental education and eco-literacy. Another aim of the theoretical part is to describe the meaning of eco-literacy in today's peoples' lives in connection with offered education, and to describe and define the meaning of questionnaires. The following methods are used in processing the theoretical part: analysis, comparison and synthesis of theoretical findings from specialised sources. The aim of the practical part is to find out the situation regarding eco-literacy at two selected secondary schools. The required information will be gathered using a questionnaire, the creation of which is based on findings from specialised sources. The acquired data will be processed with descriptive statistics, and basing on the results that will be discussed, a recommendation for pedagogical practise and conclusion will be formulated.
