A Comparison of migration crises of the European Union in 2015 and 2022 in terms of "push" and "pull" effects - A Comparative case study of migration trends
Fiala, Tomáš ; Kučerová, Irah (advisor) ; Földes, Kristián (referee)
in English The waves of migration from Syria in 2015 and from Ukraine in 2022 significantly affected the number of people who applied for asylum or temporary protection in the EU. In this work, these migration waves are compared through a pre-selected framework of the so- called "neoclassical theory" which operates on the basis of rational decision-making about migration as an "economic" calculation of risks, advantages and disadvantages (so-called "push" and "pull" factors and "intervening obstacles"). Through comparison, the work tries to answer the questions of the similarity of the two migration waves and, through their analysis, at the same time, the question of whether these waves influenced the Migration and Asylum Policy of the EU as such. Despite certain similarities in the political aspects of the comparison, the similarity of the two waves was not confirmed, however, a shift in the creation of the EU migration policy framework after the migration wave in 2015 was also confirmed.

The Evaluation of Local/Regional Authority Activities in the Case of Ústecký region and Chomutov District
Hellebrandová, Lenka ; Tomeš, Jiří (advisor) ; Šlajchrt, Martin (referee)
This work deals with the issue of governance at the local level in selected municipalities in Ústecký region. Evaluating of governance in selected municipalities is based on analysis of their economy for the period 2002 - 2010. The emphasis is put on the success of municipalities in raising funds and solving problems of this region (unemployment, decline in industrial production, poor educational structure). These facts are confronted with the actual composition of councils and there are investigated differences between the access to the problems of individual municipalities or the governing political parties. Small municipalities are faced with a lack of funds, which leads to significant indebtedness. By contrast large cities are successful in obtaining grants from the EU and can fund various projects. Most of the investigated municipalities invested in building of sports and cultural centres instead supporting the active employment policy.
Business Intelligence performance using Cloud Computing
Huňka, David ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Šedivá, Zuzana (referee)
The target of this bachelor thesis is to verify the effects and risks of Cloud Computing (CC) in the issue of Business Intelligence using a real, working project. The outcome is a defini-tion of the extent at which the effects and risks of CC apply to BI projects and their charac-teristics. I utilize my experiences and knowledge not merely about BI gained during my studies of Informatics at the University of Economics, Prague and also during my praxis as a BI ana-lyst. I reflect these knowledge of mine on common definitions of CC and achieve my already mentioned target. The main contribution of this thesis is a specific view on cloud BI disci-pline based on actual experience. In the introduction I define a few essential theoretical concepts, then I analyse the aspects of CC in BI and in the conclusion I evaluate my findings.
LE THÉÂTRE DU GRAND-GUIGNOL: PHENOMENON OF THE THEATRE AND HIS DRAMATURGY
Kebrtová, Helena ; NEUMANN, Julius (advisor) ; JOBERTOVÁ, Daniela (referee)
This BA thesis presents the French popular theatre Grand-Guignol and brings a basic vue of its dramaturgy. It treats mainly the questions of actual use of the Grand-Guignol?s plays material. The first part of the work is dedicated to history and definition of characteristics of Grand-Guignol genre. Then it presents fifty five synopses of plays from the Grand-Guignol repertoire, and the treatment of themes and commentaries about individual texts. It proposes some ideas about how to revive Grand-Guignol today. Theatre of Grand-Guignol was founded in 1897 by Oscar M?ernier as a naturalistic theatre that strived to defend the liberty of art. In the age before the First World War, Grand-Guignol developed into a theatre of horror and this dramaturgical orientation didn?t change until the demise of Grand-Guignol in 1962. Grand-Guignol?s golden age was in 1920?s. At the same time, Grand-Guignol is the name of genre; we can also call Grand-Guignol some plays that were not presented at the theatre of Grand- Guignol. What is typical for the genre is the short form, a plot with a crime ? usually murder, the violence linked to eroticism and realism that need major tricks and/or effects. The spectator was expected to confuse fiction with reality Demanding nature of actors? work, topical and adventurous character of exploring the themes of the day and high quality of writing is what puts Grand- Guignol above the average popular theatre of the time. Many of the plays of Grand-Guignol can work even with today?s audiences. Though this genre is not often staged, it could be theatrically successful. The author of the work is convinced that it would be useful to revive the legacy of Grand-Guignol, at least by way of a project in which different ways of producing the texts could be examined.

Effects and problems of cloud computing
Hanzlová, Marie ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Kačmář, Dalibor (referee)
This thesis focuses on effects and problems from a customer perspective. The main objective of this work is to create a fair idea of cloud computing services. Fair idea means primarily effects, which can occur while using cloud services, but also effects to which entities must face before and after they decide to use these services. The main part of the work is devoted to the problems and effects of cloud preceding section which focuses on general information such as main idea, principle of operation and characteristics of cloud computing. This section includes characteristics of deployment and delivery models of cloud computing. The general information section is followed by chapters containing summary (operational, economic and personal) effects and problems. These issues mean both security issues and technical problems such as blackouts, legal aspects and other issues that should be considered before launching cloud computing services. This follow-up analysis shows the appropriateness of deploying cloud services in three specific environments. These are small companies whose main activity is not associated with an IT area. The interview was done in these companies and it was collected basic information about the company on core business and IT functions. Analysis was performed based on information and dismantled effects and problems in the theoretical part which shows mainly for selected businesses, whether it has a sense to deal with cloud computing services.
