Osička, J. Tax literacy of the population of the Czech Republic. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2023. The bachelor thesis deals with the tax literacy of the population of the Czech Republic. In the literature search the concepts of literacy and functional literacy are discussed. The text then moves on to more specific terms such as economic and tax literacy. For tax literacy, research that has been conducted on this topic in the past is described. The practical part of the text deals with a questionnaire survey that was conducted to investigate the tax literacy of the population. The methodol- ogy of the survey and the subsequent statistical evaluation of the data obtained from the respondents are described. Finally, the hypotheses are tested to identify the factors affecting tax literacy, together with the formulation of recommenda- tions on how the level of tax literacy can be improved.
Economic Literacy of Headmaster

This diploma thesis deals with examining the economic literacy of a headmaster. The topic has been chosen because of the belief that a good financial management is important for the development of a school. Another reason for the choice is the fact that there is virtually no set of unambiguously defined responsibilities and no set of suggested knowledge in the economic area which would provide guidance for headmaster in his work. The aim of the theoretical part is to find the necessary information, to define the key terms and to place the economics of the school management into the legislative framework. The practical (research) part examines the actual state of knowledge and the activity of headmasters in the financial management of the school. The difficulty, the risk of financial management in relation to other managerial activities and the comparability of different types and sizes of schools are also examined here. The outcome of this thesis is to give the definition and the content of the economic and financial literacy of a headmaster. It is also to determine the level of the financial literacy of the interviewed headmasters. Education to economy and financial literacy through family and school

This thesis deals with the education of children to economic and financial literacy at school and in family. Financial and economic literacy is one of the most important topics of the present days. The theoretical part of this thesis demonstrates different views on this issue. Education to financial literacy is a question of expertise just as a matter of attitude, character and human values. This thesis deals with the legal basis and analyses the Framework educational program for primary education to financial and economic literacy in detail. It presents a particular suggestion of a lesson structure for students of a primary school. The following part focuses on the possibilities of education in the family which places an irreplaceable role in the procedure of education to economic and financial literacy. The empirical part of this thesis presents the results of two separate researches. The first dealt with the issue of how current teachers explain and train financial literacy in primary schools. The second research focuses on young adults aged 18-26 years and their knowledge of basic economic terms, in the background of a subjective assessment of their family and school.
Financial education in the Czech Republic

The current financial crisis draws attention to the level of financial education among citizens. This thesis maps projects which are focused on financial education of the citizens of the Czech Republic. Based on the information found after a close study of projects focused on financial education, a necessity to develop a new financial education project. A project which is suitable for the current needs and reflects gaps of the studied projects. New project would be created for a non-profit organization.
Optimization of economically oriented literacy in secondary professional education in Czech republic

The goal of the tesis is to valorize actual situation of formation of economic literacy in secondary professional educatioin in Czech republic and to submit optimization proposals. The goal was reached by research of printed and electronic sources, which revealed, that actual focus in formation of economic literacy is on financial literacy, which is one part of economic literacy as such. That is why thesis elaborates proposals for extention of present situation by additional topics.
