The awareness of students of secondary grade elementary school about the causes and consequences of the use of selected addictive substances.

The diploma thesis focuses on the awareness of 2nd grade pupils of the selected primary school about the causes and consequences of the use of selected addictive substances. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the drug scene in the Czech Republic and the drug policy of the Czech Republic, the concepts of drug addiction, physical and mental addiction. The diploma thesis is focused on legal drugs - alcohol, tobacco, caffeine and illegal drugs - specifically on cannabis drugs. The next part of the work deals with addictive problems in children and adolescents and current trends in the use of addictive substances in young people in the Czech Republic according to several studies. At the end of the theoretical part, risk and protective factors influencing the emergence of addiction and risks and the consequences of selected addictive substances are described. The practical part maps the awareness of 2nd grade students of the selected elementary school about the causes and consequences of the use of selected addictive substances before and immediately after my performance in the subject of health education, including the 2nd month interval from the topic. Public opinion on drugs - May 2017

In the opinion poll carried out in May 2017 by the Public Opinion Research Centre, questions regarding attitudes of Czech citizens towards drugs were included. More specifically, the questionnaire asked surveyors about their perception of the current situation regarding drug use as a problem in the Czech Republic as a whole, as well as in their place of residence. Furthermore, the survey investigated whether institutions in the Czech Republic deal with the drug problem adequately, and some issues regarding addicted persons and their treatment.\n
Drug consumption rooms establishment and their providing to drug users: overview of international experiences.

INTRODUCTION: Drug consumption rooms (DCR) are places for the hygienic consumption of preobtained drugs in a non-judgemental environment and under the supervision of trained staff. Since 1986, the DCR have been established in 10 countries around the world. Despite the fact that Czech Republic offers wide range of services aimed to minimize the risks connected to problematic drug users, intravenous aplication still prevails. While, effectivity of DCR has already been proven, there are none in the Czech Republic. AIMS: The work aims to provide systematic and comprehensive summary of current state of knowledge regarding establishment and runing of DCR from international experiences. Additionally, the target of this work is to describe what conditions, necessary for legal establishment of DCR, were set in these countries and whether these conditions can be set in Czech Republic. Finally, the thesis analyzes whether the DCR are visited and used by clients and describes what the profile of a typical client is. Title: The evaluation of primary prevention program Boys and Girls Plus Author: Bc. Anna Frombergerová Department: Psychology Supervisor: PhDr. Veronika Pavlas Martanová, Ph.D. Abstract: The thesis evaluates the Boys and Girls Plus primary drug prevention programme that was carried out at elementary and secondary schools throughout the Czech Republic. The programme ran concurrently in eight European countries. The thesis processes, evaluates, and interprets the data collected by the project organizers for the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the Boys and Girls Plus project, its progress, and implementation. It also addresses the various approaches to the evaluation of primary prevention programmes and examines their effectiveness in practice. The empirical part of the thesis evaluates the data collected from the project participants (over 600 pupils/students and 27 teachers). Students filled in attitude questionnaires both before and after the intervention and they also commented directly on the Boys and Girls Plus programme itself. Their answers were subject to quantitative processing. The aim of this study is to assess the status of HIV positive people in society. To reach the goal and for introducing a whole continuation of HIV positive status will be used interpretation and analysis of research from the very first to the very latest. Research that will appear in the work, are aimed at knowledge and attitudes towards HIV-positive people. In order to capture the continuation of knowledge and attitudes to HIV / AIDS at the time, researches are presented chronologically, and the last one is my own survey. The sense of this study is to pay attention to the problem of stigma and discrimination against people with HIV. HIV / AIDS issue is a complex problem that affects a wide range of scientific disciplines, so the study includes apart from sociological discourses topics of medicine, law and psychology. Spirituality and substatnce use among students of the high school Česká Třebová: questionnaire survey

Background: Within the treatment of addiction, spirituality is included in the bio-psycho- socio-spiritual model, where, compared to others parts of this model, it is the least described and examined component, a fact which is reflected in the status and treatment of patients with a certain type of psychiatric illness. Spirituality is different for every individual person; everyone perceives it differently and reaches different dimensions, whether measurable or only experiential. Objective: The objective of this research was to probe and describe the perception of spirituality among Česká Třebová High School students and it's relation to the experience of using drugs. Other individual objectives were to determine whether the spirituality factors are related to the experience of using specific drugs and whether there is a relation between drug usage and information technology, which is widespread among the schoolage youths. Background: Healthy Spirituality helps to find identity, she led to inner harmony and also harmonizes the relationship to the world and external activity. Four dimensions act of faith - an autonomous source present grace, free response and social framework - will appear in therapeutic practice and may contribute to the development of a mature personality and eliminate substance abuse during adolescence and the next life. We can talk about that in difference from other religious direction Christianity has the personality of addictological terms of psychotherapeutic influence. The main aim of my thesis is an overview of the situation of substance use among adolescents from Christian oriented schools of Prague aged 13 to 16 years. Another objective is to compare the results with the results from the ESPAD study in 2011. The relationship between the occurrence of infectious diseases and drug use in patients of Internal Medicine Clinic (6th station - Infection) University Hospital in Motol in 2011-12

Backrounds: The data source was a summary dossier on illegal drugs users' which heve been treated at the Department of Internal Medicine (6th station - Infection) University Hospital in Motol in 2011 and 2012. It was provided me by doctors. Objectives: The aim of the research was to determine the patients' compliance with the treatment and to describe the relationship between drug use, length of the drug career and the occurence of the infectious diseases. Methods: The comprehensive statistic information on the clients - drug users (315) which have been treated at the Department of Infectious Diseases of the University Hospital in Motol in 2011 and 2012 was analyzed using the analytical-statistical methods. The ethical principles were preserved. The study is retrospective, it hasn't taken place face meeting with these clients. Results: 315 of drug users were treated at the Department of Infectious Diseases of the University Hospital Motol in 2011 and 2012. There are 128 outpatients and 187 hospitalized following outpatient clinics. All patients were between 15 and 57 years old. The most common mode of drug use was intravenous application. Hepatitis occured in 66.2 % of the hospitalized drug addicts, infections of skin and soft tissues in 19.25 %. The sepsis was the reason of hospitalization in...
